  3. As my study of pre V, I felt the challenge to make custom dial. Especially after viewing this 3 images bellow After many hours of vector drawing, finding source and experiment, here are the detail shot of my hand made dial (5218-201/A as trial): font detail on pad print, as in the reference picture; the use of sanserif font brand name pad printed preV dial is incorrect : indicase detail color filling (3D depth) mimicking the Tritium + stated in the 3 images on top that indicase was filled, not left empty...so i fill it after coloring/luming process: So far that is my accomplishment in the trial process as noobie, feel free to share more insight n opinion regarding gen pre V dial

  12. I need suggestion for pre V Crown Guard. Little hero, goin or other maker? Which closest to gen?
  13. excuse the extreme color contrast
  14. for the strap preparation : I found making buckle and strap is a lot of fun. So i tried to hand make both buckle and strap complete with the stamp on the buckle...except i use laser engraving instead after some vector drawing... first cut wasnt perfect...ouch! crooked engraving :? second cut, come out better after long critique and pointer at the picture thinking hard for DLC or PVD coating... oh well its my trial anyway, so i decided to use cheap aerosol flat black ...yeah not bad, all the engraving wasnt deep enough, ill make it better later trying to mimic the coinage edges by hand with file n sandpaper this process took so much energy tongue installed and painted flat black cutting and mark lines some old sheet of leather that skid gave me for the top layer, buckle installed. I used stiff thick piece of leather under neat I copy the construction of pre Vendome strap notice the difference with vintage 3 folds on the buckle side and 2 fold on long side glue n press oh my, this far i forgot to bend the buckle & tongue :lolno: so re-open the guled strap, bend the buckle and re-glue adding single loose keeper, the final result pre stitching n edge kote i aged the buckle a little, the black paint was strip litely at corner n tip of the tongue
