  1. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Can I ask what flaws you saw in the FC dial? (Looking to order one and that's on top of my list)
  2. Hi Simon, Sorry, cant find the address - but believe its at least one rectal of watches and jewelleries operates in the bond street region. You might also want to check out these guys: www.borrowedtimewatches.com Out of intrest are you looking to operate this as closed circle club or as a business? i've read a few articles about trust based watch clubs operating in a "wider” circle of friends
  3. Interesting idea, i believe a similar (rental) company already operates in LDN. Also, a couple of points to consider (i) Cost - assuming most watches will range from 4-8K and if each watch need to be checked for damages and potential modification / replacement of parts after each rotation. If you also add the cost of a background check of the members, insurance and operating cost, the yearly cost will be significant compared price of the watch. (in this i assume that watches in the 10k range will be less likely to join the scheme) (ii) Tax - might be an issue if you have clients in more than one region (iii) How would you manage the inventory, assuming some would like to keep the watch for 1 months and some for 6 months. Also, some watches would be significantly more attractive than others - which might lead to conflicts. Saying that, this could be resolved with an online market place.
  4. I've been looking for a "gold" DW daytona, but as you said his latest review are not favourable. More so, i would likely not buy from him out of principal after what his done to the other guys on the forum. However, if any members have one they would like to sell - pls let me know..
  5. Try Joshua... FYI - i know some of the dealers are reluctant to accept paypal for new costumers
  6. Dear All, Thank you for the advice.. Automatico, I echo your view about sending the watch back and forward to China, I’ve done that a few times in the past and it’s never a good solution (especially not in this price range). So I guess I have to try to constrain myself or find another option. In respect to doing the build my self, I simply don’t have the time or the patience to take on a project like that. I’ve started a few in the past, however they are still in parts 3years down the line;) Again, thank you all. Your views are greatly appreciated.
  7. I wish that was the case.. Believe you’re lucky to find a 6239 in gold for 50k [unconfirmed] Saying that, the price is the BIG issue as its in a range in which you can get a good GEN e.g. Phong's 6239 would need to be bloody good to justify the price. Also, with a gen one would have the option to resell it. I don’t see a lot of potential buyers for a "second" hand Phong build.
  8. Unfortunately, i don’t have the time to chase the part or the technical knowhow to compile the final product. Hence, looking at the done offerings. Also, im ideally looking at the gold 6239 or 6242, which makes it harder to get the parts.
  9. Thanks Baleinedessable... Still early in the process, but will start to complie a list of requierments. All, Any other dealers (beside Phong) that have these kind of offerings?
  10. Hi Guys, Does anyone have any experience with the complete build offered by Phong? In particular interested in the YG Daytona 6241 or the Patek’s? All information will be greatly appreciated, the below in particular. Accuracy and build quality? Value for money? Reliability of the dealer? Payment and shipping? (I assume a wire transfer would be OK, however the shipping and custom might be an issue) Also, can someone confirm that jewelryandwatch.com is the right address? Best regards…
  11. Hi and welcome. I think Joshua added some under the patek section last week, saying that its not a great reproduction and you likely won’t find one as its an open caseback. Cheers
  12. The size is a strange one, sometimes i find the difference in the "height" harder to ignore e.g. If its 43 vs.44. thats not a big issues, however if its 12 vs. 14. the watch might no longer will fit under your shirt. Agree - white will also be my choice as I think they are more likely to get it right We need some decent pictures!!! In respect to the price and given the quality is ok, i think its fair. I would be worried if it was priced at 220.
  13. Source: http://www.eachdigital.com/2013/10/30/patek-philippe-nautilus-ref-59801a-fully-reviewed/ "The case diameter measures 44mm (including the ‘ears’), which is actually just 2mm larger than the ref. 5711. While the ref. 5980 measures 12.6mm in height, it feels more hefty and thicker than all other Nautilus models."
  14. Thanks Pete, Agree - its all about how it will look on the wrist, my main concerns are: (i) Size - J saying 42*14mm, Patek 40.5*12.6mm [Note: Patek measure this one from 10-4 o'clock so that might account for the difference] (ii) DW (iii) Texture of the dial (iv) Thickness of the bracelet (hopefully they will not use the one from non chrono versions0 (v) Clasp I could probably live the "no functional chrono" and the incorrect caseback as long as the other parts are close to OK. Cheers
  15. Guys, have any of you seen more details pictures of Joshua's new 5980?
  16. yes for the 39mm, no for the 41mm (chrono) BUT - the its a rather (very) poor replication, so buy the non-chrono version
  17. Note - i don t think the 15400 comes on a leather band (if it does let me know), so you would need a conversion links and a buckle. Should be possible the find, but the cost will add up.
  18. I have two, one from the first batch and one from the second (polished inner bezel) .. Think the issue is limited to the first batch, sadly no idea how to fix - but you might be able to file down the lock? Any advice would be appreciated.
  19. Hey mate, Go for the 15400 (not the jumbo) at least that has some weight to it. The Nautilus looks OK (not great), but the its very light.. The strap would be an issue on both, but as you mention you can source the strap from AP bands. Cheers..
  20. As mention above, you used the wrong linked to perfect clones. I would try to cancel the paypal if possible and replace the order at p-cls.com Joshua is a good guy (if you pick the right site)
  21. It looks like the one i just got - you just need a pin!! Should be able to source that locally.. Saying that it looks to be an issue on the clasp, it works but not well
  22. Not a big deal if you get a letter, I got one as stated in the original post. However, had several packages since without any issues (although if sized you want get your watch)
  23. Gentlemen’s, Can I get your view on the new RM011 models offered by most of the TD’s? I appreciate that the models are pretty far from the original, however as very few have actually seen the watch, less so that model in particular (unless you frequently associate with F1 drivers that is). Do you think it’s possible to pull off the watch? Or will it be an obvious fake? Also, it would be great if anyone is willing to share some QA photos. Best regards, Andy
  24. I may have worded my question poorly, strike the refund part.
