  1. Since the new forum came online, i haven't been able to see any pictures posted by other members. I keep getting the ice frog error for imageshack, saying this domain is unregistered. Can someone advise me on how to rectify that?
  2. No fight meaning it's clearly the best? How can it be out of stock while the more popular ones are in stock?? (111, 177, 005 etc.)
  3. I'm looking to buy a PAM 219, and i see that there are 3 versions to choose from. 1. H Factory 2. Supermirrors 3. DSN. H factory is the cheapest and easier to obtain. But is there a clearly superior version among the three? Don't see this watch being reviewed much.
  4. I'm planning on getting the aquanaut with an additional rubber strap. Is it difficult to swap between the two? I have the rubber on my PO too, but swapping them is a huge pain.
  5. will i be able to get the no-seconds version with quartz movement?
  6. Excellent advice, JKay. But venturing outside of a brand i like initially is what got me from 3 watches to 12 watches.
  7. I'm in Asia, willing to ship worldwide. haha
  8. Is there any watchmaker that services the Unitas movement that most PAM reps come with? While i don't yet have a broken watch, it will be good to know. Or do we treat it like 21j's and just install a new one?
  9. I believe this thread can answer most of your questions. It'll be better if you had a specific model in mind. But to summarize, either versions have areas where they're superior.
  10. Wow! Never noticed those before! Does anyone have a DSN 056 to show? his pics doesn't look too nice. trying to decide between 036 and 056
  11. Those darn tobacco dial pams are really starting to grow on me. Don't suppose there are any reps of those? And has anyone thought of customizing their own tobacco dial to be implanted?
  12. Welcome to the dark side! This will NOT be your last rep. haha I would have recommended that you went down to the AD to try on both watches, in various strap options, and various bezel options. Though i personally feel the 45mm PO on bracelet has way too much metal. It looks much better on rubber.
  13. IMO, it's different when the dealers post videos and users post videos. Dealers do it so there's a value-add to their service and QC process. It reassures the consumer and at the same time gives a good idea what we're getting into. I honestly can't think of any good reason for a user to post a guide like that and invite more scrutiny to the forum. And broadcasting the name of the forum is just silly.
  14. Well, my tolerance is usually 14 days, unless i have reason to believe otherwise. So, if i were you, i'd send a GENTLE email reminder on the 14th day.
  15. This is a wonderful write up for members like me, who joined during the 'Golden Age' of reps. Debatable though.
  16. Excellent watch! If i were to get a tourby watch, that'd be the one i get! My previous research tells me that that is a fantasy model though. But i've been wrong before...
  17. For what it's worth, 44mm doesn't look that bad on a small wrist. My gal has petite wrist and wears a 111 nicely. Even though she has to make extra holes in the standard strap. ~50mm away from the lug. And to answer your question, there aren't any super reps for 40mm pams. I know because i was checking them out just 2 weeks ago before settling on the 111 for her. Watcheden has some though.
  18. I think the problem can be summarized by this phrase: "It's gotten too easy to get great reps."
  19. Personally, i'd lose the bracelet and go leather if i'm going for classy. And i think small watches are classier than larger ones. Practically everything i'd recommend has already been posted, so i shall not make it even more difficult for you to choose. Just bear these 2 things in mind. That being said, i think the most classy watch is JLC's reverso.
  20. It's a rep. Just buy another one! Jokes aside though, i live with all my scratches as it makes my watch look more used and personal. A brand new watch is just too shiny and artificial. Could also be because i'm too lazy to research on safe methods...
  21. I'm fairly new to the rep game, but then again, i'm not a noob. I've had some experience, both good and bad with dealers, and after the attitude one of my go-to dealer has been demonstrating, i've decide, 'enough, i'm taking my business elsewhere!' Trouble is, it's not as easy as it seems. Seems that no matter where i look, there's at least a few complaints about even those dealers held in high regard (PP dispute, communication issues etc) Am i lending cases like these too much credence? So who's your go-to dealer?
  22. Having worn everything on my right hand, i would imagine wearing a destro on the left hand would be just about as comfortable as wearing a noraml watch on the right hand. (if that makes sense) Same goes for question 2. That being said, i should mention that i don't yet own a destro watch but just ordered one last night. Unlike you, however, i prefer an SS version instead of PVD. haha That's why i went for the 217.
