I think 9 times out of 10 the genuine guy would not care. First of all if he is a knowledgable collector HE knows it is genuine and that is all he really cares about. If he is just a guy who had some cash and bought a nice watch (ie; most, but not all Rolex owners) he would just dismiss it as jellousy or being illinformed or what have you. Agin HE knows it is genuine so who cares.
Could have not said it better myself.....

One word Invicta. Reminds me of those silly photos where they put their watch on a celebs wrist
take a photo hand them a check, never to be seen on the celebs wrist again.

great photos - who is the rep from? and how long have you had it.
Hey Pho
Ive had it for over a year now.Originally from king I believe with slight mods from Joe
-
and the bezel insert is a shade darker on the genuine

Six months ago I put my name on a waiting list for a Rolex LV not thinking anything would come of it until
the phone rang today. After seeing it I couldn't resist. Here are some pictures of both the genuine and rep for
your comparison. Some of the differences I noticed were dial font. The font on the genuine appears to be
thinner and not as white. Rep almost looks better.Crown Guards but and easy fix. Date font is close but a little thicker on the genuine
Date mags are the same. The rehaut, this is always what bugged me on the rep. It is narrower and has the visible plastic ring
next to the crystal. Most of for mentioned differences are small and undetectable to the average Joe.

MG... You need some therapy!!
Great collection! I spy a 1675 that I especially like!
Hey R
Actually its a 16753 (1984-85) fresh from Rolex service. I f-ed up however. It had the matte finish dial I was told that it would be replaced with the same dial WRONG it now has the gloss dial. Made me mad. It is my favorite of the bunch. It looks so nice Im afraid to wear it.

When I see the pictures of the pretty reps I usually purchase them only to later purchase the genuine. Does this happen to anyone else? I would think if this where the norm, genuine watch manufactures would love reps. I like to purchase the reps but find that I don't wear them in public much for fear that I might get called out to which my reply would be "I have the real one at home" to which their reply would be "sure you do" lol.
Here is a pic of my genuine and reps pictured happily together.

This I will own.

I owned a genuine MM20. I was actually the first I believe to have the hands replated in gold by Jack at IWW. Its a pretty cool watch. I owned it for @ 8 months before selling it for more than I paid for it. Would I buy another No. Over quailty was not bad but not much better than my EL fiddy for 3 times less money. I dont think the straps that came with it are all that either. I just mostly got caught up in the thrill of the chase in getting one from Ken Trading. Here is a link to my post on Big watch Forum back 2004

The first watch you show is theoretically an older generation replica as it was available a few months before the second was released. Although of a slightly different model of watch it does have a few more flaw.
Most noticeable is the completely whacky date font!!
Isnt the sub dial at 9 oclock to large. All the pics of genuines Ive see have the sub dials all the same size.

Very nice my man!

What about all the dopes here who pay a premium to have the first PAM rep on the block. Good lord talk about stupid. Big money little money its all relative.
