Makes sense. I removed the links to the site in my most recent post, but I am unable to remove the links from my previous post.
And PM sent to you correctime.
That's very cool of you Brother.
I certainly wasn't directing that at anyone in particular...it's not like there haven't been several Threads or posts naming that particular case over the past few years.
It just stands to reason that the more it's mentioned the greater the risk of someone saying the wrong thing to him...it's bound to happen sooner or later
PM received and returned.
Thanks Brother.

I might politely add that it may prolong the availability of these particular cases if the name isn't mentioned and links to his site aren't posted on any of the rep Forums.
A simple google search by him can reveal alot.... and he'll pull the plug....he "doesn't" share our enthusiasm where rep building is concerned
He really doesn't care for the rep world at all...................just sayin'.

Oops, I read "Sean," not "StarTime." The 2836 should fit in the 16800 case.

Correctime; V1 date wheel as the v2 was released after the dial had already been fixed to the movement. V3 bracelet.
Thanks Brother.
It looks awesome.
Congrats and enjoy
-
So just to clarify!!
The GEN dial WILL fit the Swiss movement,
With mods
Or
Without?
Because if it fit without a gen movement then that would've been a "dream" franken
For me ofcourse.
Then your dream awaits you.
The gen dial will fit an eta mvt but the dial feet must either be clipped or relocated.
And the gen dial (27.4mm) will fit in the TC case dial opening (27.0mm)
-
Great looking piece JKay.
Congrats Brother.
DP...I agree. To me going Franken is much more enjoyable (and rewarding) than going with a gen

So to clarify, does a Raffles movement ring fit in a Startime 16610 case with a 2836 movement? If so, which ring? Thanks.
It seems that way.
I'd like to know which of Raffles rings will do the job too.
Which ring is it "E" ??

Great info, Brother.
Thanks for sharing that
-
Any way to get it over here for those of us that don't do RG ??
-
Indeed...the TC is a very good looking piece.
I'm very pleased as well....though I'm curious if a gen 3035 mvt will actually fit in the Sean case.
-
Great looking dial.
I agree with TeeJay regarding the differences in the 16800 and 16610.
Holed lugs, larger date with open 6's and 9's and the 93150 with "hoods" is what that dial of yours needs to do it justice.
-
Hey guys, any chance we could get a link to the PDF again?
Thanks
+1....I'd really appreciate seeing it as well, thanks.

Danza1812 - Which DW and Bracelet is on yours ??
-
Received the TC sub today, it is a great watch Sean is on its way too...
Congrats.
The TC is indeed very good.
Keep us posted on your Sean case

I've experienced the same issues putting a gen insert into the TC and Clark bezel.
A crystal press has always seemed to work for me.
I'd shave the bottom of the insert if necessary (to clear the retaining ring) but I couldn't bring myself to sand the outer diameter of a gen insert.
Once that's been done it's no longer of any use for a gen owner and it's not likely to ever fit any other bezel ring correctly.
-
Indeed it does.
It's an early 703 and it's what I need for a 16800 I'm putting together.
Great score
-
Damn, that sucks......sorry to hear that Brother.
Though I certainly do appreciate the gesture and the attempt.
-
The threads on the 702 come all the way to the edge of the outside, as do the threads of the 700.
The threads on the 703 start about midway in the crown.
-
Thanks for the info Doc.
And you're right.
My case has the slots for the SEL too but I'm a good ways from Bracelet selection at the moment.
Curious. Did that crystal ever makje it's way home ?
It never found it's way here
-
NICE !!
The 93150 from Angus...does it have the correct markings ??
-
Wow...that's an awesome looking dial indeed.
Congrats on that one.
-
The DWO's offered by BK ad TC are excellent.
Though different things can also effect the "size" of the date...DW font size, crystal thickess AND cyclop magnification.
As for having your crystal AR'd: it's likely to be about the same cost as picking up one from BigCrown.
Will that AR's crystal fit your piece from PT ??...get one and try it

Some very good info in this thread.
So how is it the Sean case will take a gen 3135 OR 3035 mvt ??
-
A gen eta 2836-2 fits perfect in that case. With a raffles ring. I'm very upset because after reshaping the lugs and fitting the TC v3 perfectly. The Clark's bezel pops off the insert. Same thing with a gen. 90% done! But couldn't take it on the trip.
The Clark bezel I had popped off the insert on me too....the retainig ring needed shortened a good bit so I didn't keep it.
You're saying a gen bezel assembly pops the insert too once the retaiing ring is pressed ??
If that's the case you shaved the surface under the retaining ring where the lugs blend to the case ???

If you can't see the LEC, measure the thickness.
I believe the pre-LEC sapphires were 2mm.
But are you looking for the LEC under magnification or the naked eye ??
