Cheers E I've managed to order a couple of gaskets from cousins uk so hopefully there's are gen like.
I was replacing the bezel insert and the entire assembly came off as if by magic. With the gasket swap there were no issues. May seem trivial, but it makes me feel better and I'm sure the water resistance is up as well.

Yes Ry! Make sure it's also gen like gasket. The BC gasket for some reason doesn't have the "snap" into the case as the gen. The magnification at 2.3mm is just not good.

Wm9 should be ok. Make sure that your case back gasket is fresh and lubed. The crown oring is also important to be both fresh, as well as well lubed. That with the outer oring of the tube is your first line of defense. 5atm is not bad brother. Just no diving boards or hot tubs. Hot tubs are bad for seals.

It also depends on which rep you're talking about. I have gone on 50+ foot dives with a Noobmariner, SSD, and the 16800 Franken in built last year. The less gasket area the watch has, the less chances of a leak. After a nice seal of the HEV(not really necessary, but doesnt hurt) a good and well gasketted and lubed SSD can definitely go deep. If its' a chronograph, I say keep it dry. If it's a dive watch, grease it, and go deep.

MM translate to a V72 subdial and dial feet layout!
Mine is still at Rolexaddict's place....
That's what I thought. I do have a DW 6238 dial I bought a long time ago, purchased as a V72, but fits a 7750 with no issues.
-
Ok, very stupid quick question about the DW dials and MMs. Will the foot spacing of the MM be the same as the V72, or the 7750 movement?

@Ry,
Thanks man. The ring and pinion change is definitely worth it. She's no speed demon, but there aren't many obstacles she can't crow. I still miss my VW1303 with 914 motor though

Got to this discussion late. The jewels I believe are exchangeable with Gen units. The jewels can be purchased separately and added on. Which is not a bad deal/idea. The gen 3135 disc will not fit without modifying(sanding off the OD .12mm) which is a PITA, but I have done it with no issues.
Overall the two Y3135s that I have purchased and sent for service are golden! If I have time this weekend I will compile the pictures and put something together. Chris(10:10) returned the movements about two to three weeks ago(can't remember now) and both are still at +/- 7 seconds a week! I am running my Franken/Hybrid 16610 with one and I'm finishing the SSD for Duke this weekend with the other one. I will definitely purchase another one for my 16800 build and do the same as before. The thing is that in production, there will always be percentages. Things slide through and get overlooked. With the "crackdown" in China, I can only imagine this get a bit worse. The good thing is that most mechanical parts interchange with gen. Keep that in mind.
Sad this happened, but it may be a good thing to take the offer from Yuki and keep the spare parts. Just my .02

Loving that AR! Watch looks good! You better get that thing in the deep!

Yo Z! We gotta hang out one day!

DW has a Clapton?

I'm working on one of these as well. I still have to have the movement serviced but my budget is tied up now. I have the silver face with a DW 6238 case. I want to finish the build with a big chrono seconds red hand. I have seen one like this online and I liked the looks of it a lot.

Just to revive an old topic, has anyone taken the cannon/pinion from an ETA or DG to mount on this ST movement? The seconds carrier is the same as an ETA one, so no need to change this.

Long time no hear brother. Welcome back
