I would also advise to buy a non working gen and fix them. That is what I have been doing. The gen units are plagued with issues as well. Once fixed they work and sound great! Or do a combo of gen and rep.

Gave the Mille a little break to try this titanium mix

Indeed brother! with a nice camera and good editing software relearning to shoot is a must!

Not bad at all. I would actually wear it. Heck, a sterile version of this would be cool too.

TC 93160 with the BP clasp is a great combination. The TC unit at the clasp has to be trimmed slightly. The BP clasp takes all gen spring bars without modification and has a very nice coronet.

Happy birthday C and Ubi. Bunch of Leos around this forum. Hit 42 last week myself.

My wife can't see this. She misses her 2011 ZX6r every day.

Thank you guys. Having the right tools in any endeavor makes for a lovely experience. Not having them, well... Front end is done and all is well.

I often find that sophisticated women tend to know about watches, and notice how a man wears himself, etc..., In the hunt, one should always know what we are hunting for. All that said, "street smart" women can spot a whale from a sea of wannabes. Wear what you want and gives you confidence, the rest is just being there.

Loctite will free up with heat. If you have a torch lighter apply heat directly to the threaded end then use the right size screwdriver to get the screw out.

I'm glad everyone had fun. Sorry I missed it.

Very good to know Joey. I have a few plexies in my parts bin with no description.
-
How do I tell if I have a V1 or V2, I've cracked the stock crystal and need a replacement, I am fitting a gen 6mm crown to build a 6536 variant. But need a new plexi. It is the case where the bezel pushes over a gasket which sits around the plexi.
Send me the OD of the case lip that holds the crystal and the ID of the crystal retainer. I may have a crystal for you.

The movement is not a copy of anything..., it most certainly is not a V23 (or 72, the 72 is simply a 23 with a 12 hr counter added) I have tried all the stems possible and none fit.
I finally found a Bestfit stem that was close and needed some tweeking in the lathe to make it fit...
Digging an old post for a stem. Any ideas if the ST19 will fit?

Pictures please?

Mille Metri . Polished the case then aged the case slightly to see which way I will go. Repolished. Slight pitting on the right places

I have use the ofrei t19 and sand down(evenly and slowly) the lip that meets the case to reduce the height. This worked out great for two builds.

That lollipop seconds hand will have to be made for sure. Thanks for the post. The V2 case is that so called "error" case that takes the gen crystal and is "gen" spec.

Sub'bing it today. Took the 14month old to the pool for swimming lessons and then off to work.
BK WM9 V3, TC and gen mashup

TC parts? underpowered date mag? watchmaterial pearl?
Yes yes yes. Also needs a bit of trimming on the CG and looks like a v3 clasp from TC. The Bezel itself could be a Clark's unit though.

So you want to build a sterile 3717 with an Asian 7750 as opposed to the Parnis Quartz version?
