Mymanmatt does it again and again! The restoration project is done! Just need a gen strap and that's it!
Watch came in needing a new movement, second hand and bezel assembly.
The watch is an early 1.2 million serial with the smaller GMT hand
The ST case comes way to fat if you ask me. It needs to be filed down considerably to look accurate. I believe a Sean case with drilled lugs would look perfect. Even though a Tc may not look spot on to the original no holes case you still shouldn't rule it out completely as it's a great case set to work with and will be friendly to your wallet. Keep in mind when people are in the wild they have no idea if the shape of the case is within thousands off or not. Good luck on your build!
As much as I agree about waiting for the next version it has proven lately that the next version isn't always the best. In my opinion a bk v2 ceramic would hold it's weight for many years to come against any out of the box ceramic reps in the near future. bk addresses the issues on his watches were as the next version may correct some flaws but create new flaws that were not an issue in the past watches. Good luck on your buying decision and let us know what you decide!
I am looking for an original 1675 bezel ring/washer/insert. not necessarily looking for the combo but I am really needing the ring most importantly. What should I expect to pay for the ring alone or combo deal and of course if you have one please come forward with it!! thanks guys!
Before you buy a TC do understand it's the old 16610 and not the new ceramic model. PM Bk and he can sell you a noob v2 for the same price as the v6 or it may be less
My advise to all of you guys is do not do not do not do any shipping in the month of late November thru December. I've always had issues with shipping during holidays
UPDATE: Watch is at mymanmatt's house (Matt) and we are waiting on the movement, Matt is sourcing me a used pepsi insert and I am getting a bezel assembly soon. when we are done it will be mostly gen (may have to use a aftermarket bezel ring, tensioner)
