Just curious why would you want to put a 16610 bezel assembly on a 1680 case

I want to improve it because it can be done. I have done it before and it turned out great so why not. A replica can always be improved am I wrong?

So this is my second TW best and I opted to make this one my GRAIL! BK's WM9 SL hands and dial, noob bracelet with correct hollow mid-links, TW clasp assembly, Crystal adjusted with taller gasket for better crystal rise and date mag, and gen parts possibly coming in. I feel like this is the best this sub can get with out putting GEN parts on it. Only thing I can think of that would improve this watch is better SEL fit but I am not sure how I can achieve that at the moment. My last TW my watchmaker installed gen spring barks which indeed made the SEL fit a lot better. I am hunting hard for a GEN crystal for a 16610 submariner if any one ever sees one let me know! thanks for reading and check out the pics!

Well hey last night was a big step! First time ever breaking down a watch head and reassembling it! Had a 2846 I removed case back figured out how to release the stem then removed the plastic movement holder and put it all back together

No just use the spring bars that come with the noob. I will post pics when I am home right now my watch is being modded by the one and only bklm. Getting a taller gasket to have better rise on the xstal and stronger date mag cause from factory date mag on TWs are weak IMHO

I have noob bracelet and TW clasp on my TW and it looks fantastic! If you go to timeshop you can buy an noob LV with hollow midlinks for 68 bucks shipped swap bracelets and sell on the forums and you can have the noob bracelet paid for

Where did u get the xstal from? Been hunting for a gen xstal and insert as well

Thanks for the replys guys and gals if any. Then everything seems to be in working order. Now I just need to extract the movement and wait for my case dial and NATO strap for my first 1680 build . Which reminds me, do I use the existing crown stem from the 2846 or do I get a completely new one for the 1665 case?

Just got my 2846 donor watch and had a few questions. 1 is it supposed to be 21 jewels or 17? Also when I pull the stem out it does not hack and when I change the time the second hand goes backwards?!?! Maybe I scored a time machine idk...and it does hack you just have to play with the time and it will stop when it wants to? This is going in my WBK 1665 case for my first red vintage 1680 sub build.
