  1. Just curious are you using a 2824 or 2836? Your title states a 2824 but is that not a slow beat?
  2. HMM wont let me edit what my phone accidentally sent. but ya I bought a noob LV specifically for the hollow midlinks and mated it with my TW clasp and I have to say it was a great mod for the TW.
  3. I have a Franken DJ that has a very tired old Swiss 2836-2 seems that time is catching up quickly on its functionality and was wondering if a clone eta is cheap enough to throw in or should I opt for the gen Swiss. I can get a Swiss one for 150 bucks how much for a clones one?
  4. I'm planning on putting my TW bracelet on it and giving it to my brother for his bday if he don't want it I'll PM you preacher
  5. I'm planning on putting my TW bracelet on it and giving it to my brother for his bday if he don't want it I'll PM you preacher
  6. To answere your question if the watch I was gonna order to WEAR I would go with a 16610 from a trusted dealer here as they maintain QC very well. Idk much and don't expect much from timeshop. Best thing to do is save a little longer and get a watch that will last years vs a cheap one
  7. Only reason I bought one was for the bracelet. Hollow mid links for my TW
  8. That's funny it only charged me 68 bucks. Maybe your state charges tax on online purchases?
  9. Ya can't wait till it gets here! It shipped yesterday and I plan on softening the edges of the bracelet probably won't have to touch the finish as it looks pretty good. any thoughts on the finish?
  10. Ya true but hell for the price it's not a bad watch to get to see if you like LVs or just need a correct band for your TW
  11. Well I saw a post on REPGEEK about a 48 dollar "noobfactory" submariner" pics looked real great and it had hollow mid-link bracelet! so I thought I would share the link to the repgeek post. http://repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=153316 I also went ahead and ordered it for the bracelet to put on my TW best cause I thought it was funny how I spent 650 and got an incorrect bracelet and this guy pays 48 bucks and gets the right bracelet! And as far as the watch goes I'll probably put my TW bracelet on it and give it to my dad or brother not sure! after shipping it was only 68 dollars so we will see what surprise I am in for. I am a little confused though cause I thought noobfactory quit making the 16610LV yet according to the "what to look for" this seems to hit it.
  12. Well I will definitely take a look around for rust and see what's the deal thanks for the advice! We are selling gen rolexs and this one we got a steal for the cracked crystal also have a gen 16610 on the way
  13. I just received a gen president from a buddy of mine who broke the crystal and I was gonna replace with it with a new one I have lying around and noticed some moisture under the glass...I am not big in the movement department but the watch is running fine. I am not sure how to approach the whole moisture under the glass. is a little a real bad sign or is it something that can be fixed real easy with out damage to the watch? not sure if I should take it in for an over-haul while I have it in my possession. thought I would ask you guys! Would love to hear from the rolex experts as I value their opinion greatly in this matter
  14. How do you get a gen dial on a ETA I heard it could not be done? (atleast on a TW best) if so I would not mind putting a gen dial on my TW but again ive heard you can't
  15. Very cool Dublin! Forgot to mention my DJ bracelet is gen from end links to clasp got it for 250 from a watchmaker and only thing I would upgrade on mine is a better movement ring for eta...mine is made of cheap plastic how did you mount the ETA to the case?
  16. Not bad!! only reason mine was pricey was my dial and case alone were 500 ETA 200 crown 75 white gold bezel etc etc
  17. You can basically have a gen DJ for under a grand minus the movement! I just finished mine which i used gen everything minus ETA 2836-2
  18. I'll stay positive till I have negative results
  19. Well let's hope for the best here sneed I mean he does have excellent feedback on eBay that's the main reason I pulled the trigger and for 40 bucks I think it's safe to roll some dice with this one
  20. Ya highoe he got it serviced and rotor screw replaced
  21. eBay I just bought it Only thing is since its goin in a 1680 case 1:1 do I need a new stem or can I use the one it's gonna come with?
