Found a old used watch that was recently serviced for 40 bucks it has a 2846 movement my question is is this a good start to rip the movement out and use on my 1680 build? Also are all 2846 slow beat?

I have a TW sub and want to put the correct band on it. What is the best way to do this? I know I have to keep the SELs and the clasp so how do I achieve a band with correct hollow links and all that good stuff?

I thought it looked like a 16610 what signifies this as a 1680?

I went to a Rolex AD to kill sometime waiting for an appointment for the apple store when I noticed a submariner no-date with rehaut engraving. what really caught my attention was the fact that it had LUG HOLES. I thought they stopped doing that way before the rehaut engraving era...just thought I would share this weird sighting of a rolex today.

A good case I hear come from MBK or MBW or ask around check forums you can source a good case. I plan on nato strapping mine since I have my 16610 for a full rolex wear.

Both really meaning I buy somethin I can wear but is good enough for heavy modifications if not then I will settle best out of box rep and just mod that. It's probably gonna end up being my work beater

Then how and where do I source a good 1680? Sounds like the 200 dollar one is my best bet

I got a Franken DJ that really needs servicing datewheel correction and over haul!! The movement is about 6-7 years old and has never been cleaned or serviced. Now it is starting to look like it's age is catching up. The datewheel is catching between dates and it's starting to have very weak reserve. Who can service my watch???

Does MBK sell a 1680 if so I'd probably go with him...how do I get in touch with MBK

In your opinion how is the dial? Do you think the white sub would be better? I'm basically just wanting to ad gen crown tube gen insert and soften the case age dial and age insert and also NATO strap

They put up a fight going on but there good solid looking hands but definitely could be super lumed

Ya looks good I'm using these hands after all I thought at first glance they were the wrong lengths but they are fine!

I see you got the CHS version? I do not believe there is a gen dial with that style of EXPLORER II like that. I've owned rep and seen thousands of gens of these and never once noticed this till now so I would not worry about it unless all of your friends are ROLEX ADs and what not
