  1. Do we know how the bezel markers are attached on this - it is bloody nice!!
  2. If you search through the forum (54 pages) there are lots more photos to be had - this site is a bloody goldmine and I'm amazed at how many vintage watches there are out there, specially the prototype 2533!! How many did they make of them?
  3. Loads of photos of the rarest PAMs you will ever see and eight pages of them - what a discovery!!! http://orologi.forumfree.net/?t=8369879&st=0
  4. It's not quite the same as the one fitted to the current 8 day PAM
  5. Just my pennies worth - I bought a 7753 from O.Frei last year for $400 and something. It has a plain finish as it is not finished to any "Name" specification but is still of a visibly much higher quality than the asian 7750. Panerai etc will specify a particular finish on the 7753's that they use such as engine turning or Geneve striping and brand name engraving on the rotor and bridges and as far as I am aware that is the only difference. But it is ETA wherever it has been originally made and I think ETA has factories in several different countries!!
  6. You would have to send it to me - the coating you have is not PVD!!
  7. 2 posts and he's turning already - what is the point of joinng RWG?
  8. Oh my god.
  9. What do you mean Seagull movt? The 2892-A2 as in the PAM 27 and 28 is ETA and extremely accurate.
  10. Portugal - the land of Cortebert!!!
  11. As you all know from following the various other threads the datewheels for this movt are now in production and should be ready within a couple of weeks. The numbers of this datewheel are limited so please post here if you want one of these - this is not for the GMT versions which will be available soon.
  12. How many reps does this noob have????? Serious collection there!!
  13. Chronus - you should be in bed!!!
  14. I will totally second that!!! Davidsen is an absolute star.
  15. Marco - sorry I have not acknowledged this sooner - had a tiring day and went to bed early last night (for a change). Lovely jubly and I will have a home for this very soon (courtesy of River). I love these vintage watches!!!
  16. The 217 and 127 are the same case so it should fit perfectly. But - there is more than one case maker for these watches so I cannot be 100% sure but I would assume the makers are sourcing the crystals from one maker.
  17. Er - his post is here!! http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=4069 PM him.
  18. Davidsen has them already AR coated for $85- bargain!!
  19. I know but it's a secret!!!! Swiss 721BT
  20. What about your liver!!! Had a boozy weekend so will need a new one!!
  21. Hell yes!!! Photo does not do it justice though as the geneve stripes are really beautiful and is has a really sweet sounding tick!!
  22. Woah - serious ride there man - you were not kidding!!!! Hope to see that mother hog in the flesh soon!!!!
  23. Not easy to transplant this as really I need to get a proper movt ring made up. The Cort is smaller than the Molnija so its loose in the Mol movt ring and the clamp screws are not functional as the Cort has the screw recesses flush on the bottom plate where the Mol has the screws sunk down to be level with the case clamp grooves, but for now the bezel holds everything tight and I will wear it for a while to see how well the Cort keeps time. Luckily the Molnija hour wheel is a straight swap and a bit of bodging got the minute hand to fit. The Cort stem needs re-threading to downsize it to fit the crown. A quick fix but looks nice eh!!!! My sincere thanks to Marco (Madasboot) for his help with this project - could not have happened without him.
  24. Marco - thanks for that - perfect!!!
