    Be Afraid

In Canada we have the "liberal" Liberal Party, the "liberal" Conservative Party" and the "liberal" Liberal New Democratic Party on the national scene. All politicking in Canada at a national level is done in the middle with only rhetoric and posturing used differentiate the parties. Point in fact all governing parties on the national scene in Canada have governed in the middle for the past 30 years +/-. They is very little difference in how Liberals and Conservatives have governed. In Canada we the electorate don't so much Vote them is as we instead throw the bums out. "Red Tory" is a slogan used to describe the middle leaning Conservatives.
  2. I used a touch of coffee applied with a Q-Tip followed by a dab of clear nail varnish. It has worked out quite well. It is a quick easy mod but not permanent. Best of luck.
  3. I like making a fresh cup every time I want one rather than making several cups in one pot. Even when I make coffee for guests I make individual cups, this way I can tailor strength to their preference. This is my maker of choice. I have 4 of them and can make up to four cups at a time with each a different type of coffee and a different strength. I use an old fashioned steam kettle to boil water. Coffee maker
  4. For me it has to be the new GMT with ceramic bezel. We can get a version without the ceramic bexel but that is just not right. It has to have the ceramic bezel/
  5. Those are great photos. I especially like how you set the scene for them with the pistol and camo and straps. Cheers
  6. I am in Canada and am paying approximately $1 CAD per liter which roughly approximates $4 CAD per gallon. Half to 2/3 our pump prices are taxes of some kind.
  7. The Big Bang reps are so good that Hublot likely realized that they had a big problem - why spend 10 to 20 K for the real thing when a really darn good facsimile is available for 1 K - I can hear Warren Zevon singing " ... send lawyers guns and money the siht has hit the fan ..." and I am sure J.C. Bivier could too. If this is the beginning of the super rep period I am sure there will be more of this kind of action by the gen companies against the rep makers in the future.
  8. Thu, December 13, 2007 Avoid death, label warns By AP DETROIT -- "Danger: Avoid Death." That warning on a small tracor is the winner of the 11th annual "Wacky Warning Label Contest," sponsored by Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch. The contest is part of an effort to show the effects of lawsuits on warning labels. Kevin Soave of Farmington Hills, a Detroit suburb, won the $500 grand prize for submitting the tractor's label. The $250 second place prize went to Carrianne, Jacob and Robby Turin of Greensburg, Penn., for a label they found on an iron-on T-shirt transfer that warns: "Do not iron while wearing shirt." Richard Goodnow of Lancaster, Massachusetts, earned the $100 third-place prize for a label on a baby stroller featuring a small storage pouch that warns: "Do not put child in bag."
  9. I find this very creepy. What kind of work atmosphere does this foster? I think that the environment that this kind of thing creates would be very negative. Best wishes to you on this. I would always turn off the phone when not using it and when it is off people who call can leave messages that you can return calls to later.
  10. Anybody else remember the talk about a new GMT with ceramic bezel? Is there any news on this piece that somebody can share?
  11. Well supermoves you have made 29 posts on this forum ... congratulations ... I think it is time for you to spend some time reading and learning rather than sharing your wisdom for a while as taking a rep into Jeweler even if not an AD is just foolish and reckless. You hurt all of us with this kind of behavior. It brings unwanted attention to our Rep world. Perhaps you can learn from the posts on this thread and become a valued member of the forum.
  12. This news saddens me - this is a real loss to us at RWG
  13. At two to three hundred each means three to five reps with out breaching the $1000 ceiling. If one breaks throw it away and get a new one. OR have just one used Omega. For me having multiple choices to wear every day is preferable over having just one to wear. JMO
  14. "Jacob Arabov, known among his celebrity clients as "Jacob the Jeweler," pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to falsification of records and making a false statement to a federal agent in connection with a federal money-laundering investigation in Detroit that involved a drug ring" ...... source: europa star Here is the link to the entire story: europa star article: Jacob the Jeweller faces jail time of 37 to 46 This is becoming all too common ... sad ... very, very sad
  15. I like the watch and 10 micron gold plate is going to last many years. However, the ad state that plating is superior to rolled gold which I believe to be inaccurate. The old rolled gold watch cases usually had a thickness of gold from 20 to 40 microns and there was no discernible difference between the rounded parts of the case and the flat parts. I think that the ad that d.Freemont has written has used some creative license in describing the gold. After all that I am thinking I might get one myself.
  16. Does anybody have any idea if the anticipated GMT with real ceramic bezel is coming soon. I read about it this summer in a few threads and it was anticipated for this fall but have read nothing since then.
  17. I purchased an early 1960's Rolex Precision Oysterdate in all stainless for under $900 off eBxx. I was in good shape and ran well. This is an often overlooked Rolex that can still be found for under $1000.
  18. Here is a link to watchuseek links page of watch manufacture websites. The companies will have contact info for email and also addresses for regular mail correspondence. watchUseek manufacture links Good luck.
  19. As much as it is Cliche - the best revenge is living well !
  20. The same watch but at the same time two different watches. I like both for different reasons. The polished is all Breitling bling and the brushed is all Breitling utility. This was a great thread idea. Very informative and useful.
  21. I am for a deployant for most but do not like the Panerai deployants as I find them too bulky. This is just a personal taste thing on my part as I just prefer my Panerai watchers on a tang buckle. I like the Breitling deployant but prefer the generic double deployant push style for overall comfort.
  22. The Canadian dollar has risen with respect to the U.S. dollar. .... Sorry my mistake ... the U.S. dollar has tumbled down to the Canadian dollar level. ... Hey there Yanks I think it is time we started bailing together.
