I have spent a lot of money on Gens in the past and will never go back unless I were to win big in the lottery because of the quality of the new reps coming out. You have a beautiful watch there.... I wish you well - Cheers
These boards are privately owned and as such do not require the permission of members to do something like this. I think that the Admins of these boards can decide if this is worth doing and then act accordingly. Sometimes referenda create another set of problems. I support the idea of protecting people from scammers ... so go for it. - Cheers
I remember two - one had the watch strapped to the wrist of a Cliff Diver and the other to an out board motor. - "Timex ... it takes a licking and keeps on ticking." Those commercials reall made the point about the durability of a Timex watch.... very well developed commercials - Cheers
I have older Rolex models such as early Subs and Daytonas. Other than that I am all over the place with one Panerai, a Ferrari, one Cartier, a Breitling and two Audemers Piguets. But I do have a thing for straps, especially Alligator. I prefer watches on straps over bracelets and I guess that is my theme. Cheers
Certain brands have attached themselves to having a meaning beyond telling time and have become an extravagance. That extravagance has value that some people are willing to pay dearly for ... in order that the buyer may associate him/herself to the meaning. .... "I deserve the best because I am the best." This is the result of clever marketing on the part of the producer. .... by associating a product to emotions that make a person feel good about themselves, a producer is able to sell the product for more than the utility of the product is actually worth. It is all about clever marketing. Associate special feelings toward a brand and people will pay extra to associate with the brand. This does not justify the argument - perhaps it explains a part of it. - Cheers
Nice watch and great review - a square watch always looks bigger on the wrist that its same diameter round counterpart - I think the 46mm version would look too big on my wrist. Cheers
The opposite for me - I came to reps after having owned several gens - I am very satisfied with the reps I have and would never buy gens again unless I won big in the lottery. Cheers
Have a look on eBay - search for "Geneve" in wristwatches. The generic "Geneve" watches are available in Daytona, Submariner, Daydate in solid 14k and 18k. All you need do to make your own Rolex is a dial swap. I have not seen a Yacht-Master style"Geneve" but have seen the Sub with an a solid gold bezel insert in the Yacht-Master style. Good luck.
Check this one out

No worries mate - the forum is the place to voice your opinion - I have learned much from people with different opinions by keeping an open mind. Cheers
The fun in collecting anything is in the acquiring - there will always be one more to find as that is the nature of the collector. - Once a collection is complete it is time to start again on something new. - Cheers
I found this by accident and it looks to be a 4 out 5 for fun factor but I could never tell the time with out a cheat sheet. But for the serious geek this could it. - Cheers
LED Binary Watch
:cc_confused: I too thought this watch was waterproof. Read the dealer representations. This does not sound good - Pug is right on point - if the watch was represented to you as waterproof a dealer replacement is in order.
Already released or announced -Ferrari chrono in all rose gold - ROO End of Days and PP Nautilus not MBW's but near MBW quality - I am interested in these three for fall purchases - anybody else know what other new reps may be coming this fall? Cheers
