  1. Welcome back CC! You can get the exact same TT blue Sub from bklm1234... if it's this one you're referring to.

  3. Starting my Wednesday morning with this classic!
  4. "screaming giveaway"? Isn't that a bit exaggerated... I mean maybe 1 out of 10 RWG members would notice it?
  5. Yeah it looks like there's something wrong with the threads in the case/tube. I wouldn't send it all the way to China as this is probably not a big job for a good watchsmith. Let's hope they're not notoriously bad on this model. I haven't had any problems though.
  6. Yeah that's the WM9 v1. Very good Sub.
  7. Navitimer is quite an old rep model. They're good reps, but not quite as good as some of the newer Breitling reps. Most dealers can access the exact same model so pretty much every dealer (who sells the 7750 version) has the same one. I haven't followed things much lately but this is what I think. Go to the links section of this forum -> Dealer Web sites and compare the pics. That's basically how we all choose our reps.
  8. Start from reading this sticky post by Andreww. Good luck!
  9. This is the Ti? model "Bayern Munich" (bad pics). 9.990€ in a German online watch shop. $3100 USD sounds like an awesome deal (for the basic model). The caseback:
  10. Yeah now is the buyer's market for all luxury items. I've seen insanely good prices for many watches lately. I'm not sure about this... it's very impressive, yes... but maybe too much "AP like"? It would be nice to see this "in the flesh". Yeah the movement is awesome.
  11. Well this is a pricey one with an inhouse complication movement... and of course will never be repped properly. But what do you think about the design? Is the bezel too much "AP like"... and does this model have the attractiveness of the traditional Ebel case shape? The dial is busy as hell. What say the Ebel fans?
  12. You can actually swap the insert yourself. It's no big deal. But those spare inserts from Ebay etc. resellers are much more expensive than the ones from AD. At least here in Europe. If you buy the Pepsi model and want to have all black/ Coke instead (and want to keep both inserts) just take the insert off by yourself and tell them that "you lost it". They have to replace it. Otherwise they'll keep your old insert. Gen watch forums have lots of tutorials how to take off the gen Rolex bezel. Swapping the insert is only a 10 min. work for them. Good luck!
  13. Wow BROM... you really have collected the best of the best "whiteys". That TAG Link is stunning. I actually like the brushed bezel version more anyway...
  14. Congrats for losing your "virginity". I still remember my first one... the first 10 - 15 are the best.
  15. Thanks man. My local Rolex AD charged only 25€ for a new insert. I bought my watch preowned and it had some wear so I wanted to replace it... but they don't sell spares. I could "lose" it and go there without an insert... so they would replace it with a Coke. Then I'd own 2 "different" watches. That's the plan but I've always been too busy...
  16. Ah my mistake. They just released this replica with the new 7750 movement (tight spacing) so I thought you bought one. I'm not that familiar with Constellation. I would love to buy my fiancee a gen two-tone ladies' model but she doesn't want an expensive watch.
  17. @JohnGraig: is that a new acquisition? The movement is the new 7750 with tight spacing? Keep the pics coming. Lovely watches.
  18. Thanks man. I love that watch. Actually I would have bought it back then, but that particular rep came with a tiny bracelet that didn't fit a larger wrist. I was negotiating a deal with a dealer but he couldn't source extra links. Then I just forgot it. That picture did it again... hmm... anyone in EU wants to trade his white GST + extra link?
  19. Great photos Ubi. However you forgot your IWC GST. That was one "whitey" that I always wanted to have (after I saw your photos back then).
  20. I don't know why so many people want to take their watches to water... I never take any of my watches to water. Gen or rep. I don't need to read time when I'm swimming or showering. You have to check the waterproofness by a watchsmith. There's no reason why reps with screwdown crowns wouldn't be waterproof... GENERALLY... I believe at least 90% of them are. But why risk it?
  21. Oh man... that's a classic vintage rep. Maybe not super accurate by today's standards but solidly built high quality rep. I had its "cousin", the white BA version. Technically identical with yours. Article Edit: I forgot that I owned this one too. It was the "reduced" version.
