  1. I agree, 19 hours is too low PR... but I've heard from the members that they have owned reps with such low PR for YEARS without any problems. The day/date 7750's are notorious to have the low PR. Of course it's not ideal and not normal... there IS some kind of problem... but it doesn't necessarily mean that the watch is dying. I also had one 7750 with such low PR but it slowly got better and better. Weird.
  2. Here is the review I wrote. Here's another photo of the rep.
  3. The most beautiful white dial? Hmm... my favorite anyway.
  4. Forums come and go... people and friends remain. I've never understood people's attraction to a forum. If a forum goes down you can always create a new one. Who really cares what it's called and what color the layout is made of... as long as you can talk watches with your friends?
  5. Amazing shots & watches guys! Another shot of my favorite blue.
  6. This handsome piece for Monday.
  7. DW... isn't he the same guy who used to sell Daytonas with "Mystery Movement"? Well this certainly looks like quite a mystery.
  8. Here are two. Wrist size = '8
  9. Wow, just amazing! In my eyes that watch is THE Rolex. Good luck everyone!
  10. Great watches guys! Explorer II is such a fine Rolex. An under appreciated beauty!
  11. No, only the "time bomb" correct hand stack operates like the gen. The GMT hand doesn't move in 1 hour increments, only the HOUR HAND does. On CHS replica and genuine. Both operate similarly (except that rep has a quick set date, genuine doesn't). On the genuine the date can be set backwards as well, when you roll the hour hand counterclockwise. This doesn't work on the rep. GMT hand only moves smoothly along with the 12h hand, in half speed of course. GMT hand is not independently settable on ANY genuine Rolex watch. The old 1570/1575 movement (that was used in model 1675 aka GMT MASTER I plexiglass) didn't have settable GMT hand, either. GMT function was only operated from the rotating bezel. All other replica "GMT faux" movements have a smooth, independently settable GMT hand. It's not a GMT movement at all but the function is just as useful as on a real GMT watch (as long as you set the 24h hand correctly). Read this article, it explains it. It's a cheap bastardized Chinese "faux GMT" but I love the WHS ETA movement. Absolutely nothing wrong with them.
  12. Great watches and shots this weekend!!! Bond Seamaster for Sunday.
  13. I recall only the 45mm version should have that text. 4th Gen has 100% correct clasp markings for the 42.5mm version.
  14. Yeah, I've had mine since... well... when was this rep released again... 2006? Great watch indeed. Enjoy.
  15. Wow.. a Breitling with Omega movement! A real rarity!
  16. Yeah definitely. Those zoomed pics always exaggerate everything. It's very good mod... well done!
  17. Wow... great mod! Is it possible to make it a bit more recessed, still? Would be almost perfect then. Gen reference pic
  18. Morning all. I'm starting the day with this blue beauty!
  19. @Ubi: I'm referring to this part of the clasp: It was really low quality soft metal on my 4th Gen.

    My gens!

Will never sell any of my gens. Pepsi is probably my all time favorite watch. I actually like the 16710 so much that I'm planning to get another eventually (red/black).
  21. Yeah the pearl and lack of 2x AR are the "serious" issues. Wonder how the "inside clasp bar" (or whatever you call that) is on your watch Ubi? Mine was really cheap... you were able to bend it with your fingers... the metal was some real low quality junk. I didn't even realize it when I received the watch but accidentally bent it later. But I heard they got better eventually. There was also an annoying gap between the SEL and first bracelet link.
  22. Yeah I think that's the correct one. Congrats my friend, it's a beaty! You can, of course, compare it to the one in my old review.
