  1. That Explorer II in the WM9 site is terrible. It's "ceased" though... but members shouldn't automatically assume that all his offerings are in the same level with YM & Sub.

And I thought Eurotimez can still get the TW Best version of ExpI... for much better price. I could be wrong though.

PS: Most new "TW Best" models are the exact same watches as the MBK modern offerings. "TW Best" was just a sales label that EL and River used in the old days. So they're definitely NOT exclusive to WM9. MANY dealers here can source MBK watches.

  2. If I were you I'd just forget modifying that watch. I agree with Alligoat... it's not worth it.

But then again most members here have been brainwashed with "get only the best reps" mentality. If you enjoy the watch, by all means mod it... but I don't recommend that route. It might have "correct" black hour markers but everything else on the watch leaves a lot to be desired. I hope you don't mind me saying this but it's utterly terrible rep. :D

This is the only way to get a great white ExpII replica but unfortunately the cases that fit gen dials can't be found anymore. This is currently the best option with black dial. Very good replica, however the new ones come with the nonsymmetric engraving. The engraving is not a "deal breaker" but I still don't like it. bklm1234 can source this watch (with engraving). If you want it without, try getting one through a member trade.

Whatever you choose, good luck! Nice to meet another ExpII fan. :)

  3. I never understood why small scratches bother people on a sports watch. It's a hardcore diving tool and scratches only make it handsome!!! I understand if it's completely beat up but those little scratches from "desk diving"... who cares!!?

I'm very easy on my watches. For some reason I can't get them scratched even though I wouldn't even mind getting some. :D

PS: Moved a Omega thread to Omega section.

  4. If you purchase a genuine watch, it definitely helps the multimillion dollar corporate pigs like Rolex and Swatch Group. If you think that purchase makes you a "genuine person"... well... good for you.

I don't see it that way. I understand the general problem with the counterfeit items but life is too short to stress about it... and these companies are superrich. And I see the reps as a "gateway drug" anyway. Most of our vet members have purchased gens because of reps.

And... we might be passionate about them but they're still just watches... lifeless pieces of metal with mechanical hearts inside. Some watches are visually attractive, some are not. For me it doesn't make a difference... I love 'em all, gen or rep... as long as it's a good rep. :D

  5. I don't think I've seen it before, but that is one awesome shot, it's 100% catalogue-worthy :good:

    Thanks mate. :)

@b16a2: Try to source yours without the engraving too. Not sure if it's possible though. And do not get the white version. Black is as accurate as it gets... rep white dial is bad bad bad.
