Thanks guys. Yeah the AR is really impressive on this. Best I've seen on a rep (straight from the factory).
-
You photography skills never seize to amaze me man!! Bravo!!
Thanks man.
I haven't had much time to shoot anything lately... but I hope to get some new stuff out soon.

Wearing my BTR today.
Actually I have it on a bracelet. Will shoot some new "studio pics" soon.
-
Yes it is. That's a piece of sh*te.
Why don't you just make yourself a favor and buy from bklm1234 who knows exactly what he's selling? He's the only one I'd buy Rolexes from.
Even if you see the correct pictures at Paul's site, you'll never know what you're actually going to receive.
-
Yes. But the engraving is terrible. Try to source one without it... it'd be much nicer and more accurate.
-
No it's not a Noobmariner.
This particular model is called "Wokmariner".
Stay the hell away from junk like that and buy a decent rep.
Good luck!

By-Tor since you like this watch so much, why not buy a Gen?
Mike
Is this a joke?
I already did... that IS gen.
-
No contest. It has always been this... the most beautiful blue dial I know.
-
Get a replacement from your dealer. Looks like it's simply a bad one.

Lovin' that Tudor Ubi!
Wearing a Sub as well, but modern.

Great choice my friend. Welcome to the club. I also love mine... and it's great to have at least one white dialed watch in your collection.
-
Is it just me or can you really tell that Rolex steel is brighter than the rep steel? I have this stuck in my head and can't seem to get over it...
Yes you can, in correct lighting. But the difference is so small that it's pretty much meaningless.
Here's my gen and rep side-by-side.

I voted for the BCE but I'd prefer it because I already have the bulky SFSO. While Skyland is a great rep and a nice watch I never got really, really excited about it. But then again I have never saw it in person.
Maybe we could make a trade? I've always wanted the graphite BCE.

@Bytor - The 2531's crop up a lot at the moment, the trouble I had was finding an example that was in almost pristine condition, of the later years (05 ownwards) and at a price that I thought was fair.
I certainly have my eyes peeled for you, and if one does appear Il shoot you a PM.
Thanks man. I know they're available but I've been too busy to follow the sales forums.

Very nice review, thanks. SMP is such a classic!
I'd buy this (automatic version) immediately if I just found a good deal in EU.

Wearing my SMP chrono today. I love this watch.

Now that we have the tight subdial mod, there's bound to be some new Omega stuff coming in the Speedmaster line. They could also replicate that AT chrono accurately. Broad Arrow Speedmaster would be really nice too.
@Helius: All my guides (TAG, Omega and Breitling) are never outdated. Even when I'm busy with my real life, I always have the 10 minutes to keep them up to date.
-
Yeah the Guide is 3 years old but it's regularly updated. It has been pretty silent in the Omega department lately. Besides the old version of SMP Chrono, I think UPO is still the best (and most accurate). Lack of 2x AR is the only real issue. But that can be fixed via Chief mod.
Sometimes I miss mine.

I'm with Carl. Wearing my Pepsi today.

Great watches!!!
Wearing my Aqua today.

Busy... but never too busy to post to a RWG wrist check thread.
Wearing this right now:

It's a beauty!
Well done guys!!!
Just picked up a gen Tag 2000 off eBay
in The Tag Heuer Area

Good catch and good advice!
You can find excellent deals on smaller watches (the ones that are less than 40mm).
Breitlings, Omegas, TAGs, etc.
I also like the 2000 series. Shoot some pics and share with us!
