  1. It also has wrong crown position. Some good points to this sub. Add tons of gen stuff, mod the heck out of it, but still... low crown is one hell of a screaming giveaway.

    "screaming giveaway"?

Isn't that a bit exaggerated... I mean maybe 1 out of 10 RWG members would notice it? :D

  2. Navitimer is quite an old rep model. They're good reps, but not quite as good as some of the newer Breitling reps. Most dealers can access the exact same model so pretty much every dealer (who sells the 7750 version) has the same one. I haven't followed things much lately but this is what I think.

Go to the links section of this forum -> Dealer Web sites and compare the pics. That's basically how we all choose our reps.

  3. Well this is a pricey one with an inhouse complication movement... and of course will never be repped properly. But what do you think about the design?

Is the bezel too much "AP like"... and does this model have the attractiveness of the traditional Ebel case shape? The dial is busy as hell.

    What say the Ebel fans?

  4. Thanks again for the pics - BTW: How hard is it for the AD to swap bezels?

You can actually swap the insert yourself. It's no big deal. But those spare inserts from Ebay etc. resellers are much more expensive than the ones from AD. At least here in Europe.

If you buy the Pepsi model and want to have all black/ Coke instead (and want to keep both inserts) just take the insert off by yourself and tell them that "you lost it". They have to replace it. Otherwise they'll keep your old insert.

Gen watch forums have lots of tutorials how to take off the gen Rolex bezel.

Swapping the insert is only a 10 min. work for them.

    Good luck!

  5. BT - I LOVE that pic of the Pepsi. How's about one with a "coke" model?

    Thanks man.

My local Rolex AD charged only 25€ for a new insert. I bought my watch preowned and it had some wear so I wanted to replace it... but they don't sell spares. I could "lose" it and go there without an insert... so they would replace it with a Coke. Then I'd own 2 "different" watches. That's the plan but I've always been too busy... :)

  6. Pardon my ignorance for which movement - six yr old gen.

Love the watch - not so much the bracelet. Gets less time than my favorite reps.

Didn't realize how much glare there was on the "family photo" in my new signature.

Ah my mistake. They just released this replica with the new 7750 movement (tight spacing) so I thought you bought one.

I'm not that familiar with Constellation. I would love to buy my fiancee a gen two-tone ladies' model but she doesn't want an expensive watch. :(

  7. Wow, BT. You're making me pull up some oldies for this one.

Quiet from the peanut gallery regarding the quality of the pics :) T'is an old one to be certain...

Thanks man. I love that watch. Actually I would have bought it back then, but that particular rep came with a tiny bracelet that didn't fit a larger wrist. I was negotiating a deal with a dealer but he couldn't source extra links. Then I just forgot it.

 That picture did it again... hmm... anyone in EU wants to trade his white GST + extra link?

  8. I don't know why so many people want to take their watches to water... I never take any of my watches to water. Gen or rep. I don't need to read time when I'm swimming or showering. :D

You have to check the waterproofness by a watchsmith. There's no reason why reps with screwdown crowns wouldn't be waterproof... GENERALLY... I believe at least 90% of them are. But why risk it?
