  1. My wife made the biggest mistake today. EMS tried to deliver my gen Steelfish to me today BUT SHE DIDN'T OPEN THE DOOR BECAUSE I HAVE TOLD HER NOT TO DO THAT WHEN SHE'S ALONE AT HOME. God only knows where the package is right now... probably travelling all the way back to US.

Not her fault though. OF COURSE, BEING THE IDIOT THAT I AM, I HADN'T TOLD HER THAT I'M EXPECTING SOMETHING. :bangin:

  2. Burke was wise because he left all 40-year old veterans out this time. Schneider, Modano, etc.

Experience is important and those guys are still solid NHL players. But they have already won Stanley Cups, etc. These kids haven't won anything yet.

Russia won but has been a bit disappointing. Their PP is terrible. Exactly as I predicted... too many superstars. Let's hope they blew it... arrogant bastards!

Here are the (most likely) quarterfinal pairings:

USA - Switzerland (Swiss team is solid but has no chance)

Finland - Czech Republic (Finland has been disappointing too. Too many tired veterans.)

Sweden - Slovakia (Slovakia is super skilled team but Sweden is always good in big tournaments)

    Russia - Canada (See above)

    My prediction for the semifinals:

    USA - Czech Rep.

    Sweden - Canada

    Final:

    USA - Canada (rematch).

  3. Good early Sat. morning. I'm spending the morning with my son who's a HUGE eater. Looks like he wants to reach his dad's height and weight in a record time. We wonder what happened to that pretty boy in the hospital... now he looks more like a shot put thrower. :D

He got greetings from our Italian friends too.

I'm actually wearing this right now.

  4. @TeeJay, having now read quite a lot of your posts , I think I understand you now, I would say however that I got a lot more insght into watches and life in general from the long relationship I established with Neil way back on TRC and in the number of conversations I had on Skype with him, than from reading many of your posts, I see you're cup is overflowing with the milk of human kindness, funny. Neil mentioned quite a few members he had conflict with, your name never cropped up, I think I understand why, sorry if that comes across as harsh, just the way I see it.

You made your point clear. And we got it.

This last sentence sounds exactly like classic "Internet kookiness". If you were around back in the pre-Web Usenet days (in the early 90's) you know exactly what that means. Draw your own conclusions.

Feel free to praise Neil and repost his pictures but don't bother trolling around here. I didn't fall off the cabbage truck just yesterday.

    Thanks.

  5. @Nikki: Thanks mate... but I'm very happy with the bracelet on my gen.

But if I had to buy another rep I would choose that exact same combo that Chronoluvv has. Black with rubber... amazing. The gen bracelet has much better fitting SELs and finish as the picture below shows.

PS: That Link rules. Thanks for reminding me... I miss mine. I gotta get something from the Link lineup too.

  6. After reading By-Tor´s review of this Navitimer TT I got me one and its still with me and on my arm today :thumbsupsmileyanim:

That is definitely a beauty. I would probably still have it, but it simply didn't fit my wrist. The Navi bracelets used to be really small (I think 7.5 was the maximum wrist size for them). There was something else that I had my eye on and I traded my TT Navi. :(

But it was the nicest TT rep I've had.
