Incredible review. Short and striking, that's my style too.
Thanks for sharing with RWG as well.
This was a missing link in my TAG Guide (which has naturally been updated).
Thanks again!
WM9 hasn't made a Explorer II.
White ones are all inaccurate. Don't buy them. You will be sorry if you do. All ExpII whites have grey hour markers (grey when the light hits them from certain angle. See this dial example.
If you have read so much, how come you haven't find out the answer from my section (I have reviewed this watch to death): There's only one excellent Explorer II replica, and it's the black "Noobfactory" one from bklm1234. Don't even consider any other models.
I wouldn't wear it, either... but I find it refreshing to see different kind of watches every one in a while.
And besides, that rep on Elton John's wrist... nobody would question its authenticity. Bling watches can be difficult to "call out".
Ah... misunderstood you.
Yes you're right. Most of those scam sites (like Replica Center) are full of that. Best way is to completely forget everything you have read and start from a clean table.
Good luck and happy hunting!
PS: Do you have anything special in your mind (that you're looking for?)
Because they're using terms like "Japanese watches", "Swiss watches" and using that age old idiotic grading system, which is all bs.
And I said "potential" scam site. We don't know anything about them.
All I know that they're selling cheap junk, that much was apparent when I made a quick visit over there. And I also know that you should avoid them. Just take my word for it.
You just arrived to a rep watch heaven and you want to buy junk from some potential scam site?
Have you taken too many punches to the head or something?
Check these links, and stay away from crappy Web replica sites.
PS: Welcome to the forum!
That Tudor is a beauty D!
My eyes are beat, been doing some editorial work the whole day (when I haven't been surfing the watch forums lol). I'm wearing my stunning white dial right now.
Can a chronograph watch be a "pure dress watch"? I don't know.
But anyway... this is my favorite: 1911 Chronograph modulor, full gold. Unfortunately this is not a rep... unfortunately it's not mine, either.
When this watch surfaced there were lots of bad reports of the low beat A21J movements. But who can really control what the dealers are installing into these reps these days... so in that sense it doesn't necessarily make sense to put more money on a "ETA" when in fact the movement is just Asian high beat "ETA copy".
I purchased mine from Precious Time. I took his word that the movement is a genuine ETA.
Whatever movement you decide to buy, make sure that you really receive the correct "Ultimate" version. Beware of the bad version. See this thread for more info.
@Robbie: I love the contrast of brushed/polished bracelets too. Many of my favorite watches have such bracelets... but I originally thought it was out of place on a GMT. But I'm getting used to it and I definitely won't brush it. At least it's a bit different kind of watch in my Rolex lineup.
That UN is always so amazing man.
Absolutely stunning guys! I knew this would be a great picture thread.
As much as I love the Mighty Sub, the 4th hand Rolexes have some kind of "extra spirit".
Keep 'em coming!
I think we did a similar thread a few years ago but I couldn't find it. Maybe it was RWG1?
We have a watch porn thread for Submariners... so we must have a similar one for the GMT's and Explorers (I & II).
These are currently in my collection. Showoff time guys... let's see yours!!!
