There are many different 21J Asian movements. I think some sort of Seagull is the most common. We just call them "Asian movements". Yes, most of them are very primitive and cheap. But they have surprisingly good track record.

Sometimes you might receive a defective one, but they're usually decent, functional movements (keeping the price in mind).

It's just the basic Asian 21J movement with and extra gear for the "faux" GMT hand. Similar "bastardization" as the wrong hand stack ETA 2836-2 "faux GMT".

Jubilee bracelet is something that I never really cared about.

The polished midlink Oyster band is PERFECT for the DJ. Very classy and really suits the watch well. The "Daytona clasp" is really nice too.

When I received my Aquaracer it only had about 17 hours power reserve. Now, after one year of use it has exceeded 24 hours. Weird indeed. As a timekeeper it's superb, extremely accurate... I'd guess COSC standards. So I doubt there's anything wrong with it, despite the lowish PR.

Perhaps the PR has something to do with the day/date change (which probably requires more PR)?

I think the whole bezel construction would be too costly as a spare part.

I think I'm going to get a gen and part with my rep. Just like GMT Master II, this is the watch that I have grown to like too much to settle with the rep.

PS: I could buy a spare SMP Chrono rep insert too (if someone has an extra one laying around). The pearl isn't perfect but it's very reasonable.

Anyone knows if the gen insert is a direct fit to the 3 years old Bond Seamaster replica classic?

Also, is this part available through any source? Anyone has a spare and wants to sell?

I seriously doubt those are the same watch... or not the same one you're referring to. Neither is Trusty's $108 model... not even close.

Narikaa's Asian GMT is definitely not the same, at least the one he used to sell. Neil sells the correct GMT under the "MBK" label and it's $450 with ETA... whatever model we should call my review watch (or wherever that model is really coming from), those two Asian versions are not the same rep model I have reviewed.

Trusty calls this a "newbie model". Are you referring to this one? You can't be serious man... it's is simply dreadful!
