  1. I'm not literally worried, just pissed off. It's a gen, and it received an extra transit2insure for its full value.

Just pissed off... I have received packages from UK in less than 2 days from Precious Time here in Scandinavia. When you pay nearly 70-100 (or whatever) pounds for full insurances and special treatment you get three times slower and sloppier delivery. They advertise 2-3 days but when you call them they say that it can take up to 20 days... in the worst case scenario. That's what's bugging me.

    F*cking wankers! :D

  2. Royal Mail says thet Airsure, first class priority shipments from UK to another EU county takes 2-3 working days. Well, now my item has been sent last Friday, and the guy just called Royal Mail and he said that it's been sent to Heathrow 2/8 and it's still there... after 5 full working days.

    Tracking gives the same information

We have received your item, posted on 01/08/08 and it is being processed for delivery abroad.

It's a valuable, fully insured packet so I'm not worried. I just wonder how f*cking difficult it is to put the damn package into the plane... to a destination country where there's probably 20 flights every day... from UK.

Royal Mail can suck my ****, I will never again use it for anything valuable. I'm not surprised they're losing their customers in a rapid rate. God save the Queen and Royal Mail! :D

    Sorry guys, had to rant.

  3. @all:

You can post facts and discuss them, we don't censor anything... but no bashing of other forums (and their members). Otherwise this thread will be closed. I'm 100% positive that you all grown up men know where the line is.

We have our own way of running the forums, RG has different approach. If you don't like it, don't go there. It's that simple.

@its_urabus: I believe TTK has admin/moderator powers in his own section, so he might have deleted your posts himself. I'm not saying this IS the case, but it's possible.

  4. Sorry to hear that. When did the hour hand die & have you contacted the seller about repair/replacement?

    Thanks Freddy.

Naah... it's not the seller's fault. The seller doesn't want to sell these movements, but I insisted him to find me one, and I knew the risks. Not his fault... buying watches with this movement is complete Russian Roulette.

The hour hand was not in sync since the beginning, and I thought it could be fixed with the "rolling over the dial" trick. Well it worked for a while, but then it just simply stopped moving at all. The gear probably worn out completely.

I still have my old ExpII which works great, but I won't touch the independent hour hand adjustment and keep my fingers crossed. This movement is simply dreadful... and I'm going to swap a wrong hand stack movement into my GMT eventually. No big deal, it's just a rep.

If I decide to get the ceramic version, I will definitely go for the WHS movement.

  5. No biggie, but when you start a wrist check, please name it more conservatively. Otherwise it goes unnoticed and then someone starts a duplicate thread (as always)... and I have to merge them (as always). :)

I'm with my friend Step today, and wearing the magnificent ExpII right now.

  6. PS: Just beware of other cheap Rolex reps... they're complete garbage. Also beware the "Perfect" versions, which are outright horrible.

Besides MBK, the only good Rolex reps come from one factory, and one factory alone, The same one that produces:

    GMT IIc

    GMT II

    Explorer II (old version)

    TT Sub

    Daytona Seconds at '6

    Yacht-Master

    Explorer I

    Super Sea Dweller

All are decent reps. Some require mods (like the 16710) but they all look fundamentally correct, SSD is the only exception with awful rehaut shape and (lack) of thickness. It doesn't matter how much it's hyped, it's the worst of the bunch, just imho.

Other factories produce these same models too, but they're awful. Just learn how to detect the Rolex reps from this factory. There's a review of each and every one of them in my section (except for the SSD and ExpI).

  7. All the "Special Edition" models are a bit cheesy. Omega is doing way too many special edition models too.

But then again even Audemars Piguet makes them... at least Senna and Raikkonen are world champions and even Lewis Hamilton is a potential future World Champion, but AP has named a watch after Rubens Barrichello of all drivers... Michael Schumacher's little helper, who wasn't always even allowed to win races in Ferrari. I mean, how sad is THAT? :D
