  1. It wasn't just the actual size, I have a '8 wrist but it was the combination of the bracelet and how it "sat" on my wrist... it was always somehow "unbalanced", imho.

I have other big watches, like the SFSO which doesn't have this problem at all. I can't really explain it... maybe the black PO just looked a bit "plain"... orange could have been better choice.

Hmm... that being said... does anyone have a orange UPO for sale with 2XAR? :D

  2. Yep... I never liked how it sat on my wrist. Too big and clumsy... I'd love to get a 42mm version with 2XAR and all that... but apparently they're not doing it.

I just bought a gen GMT Master II so I'm out of cash... but PO 42mm might be my next gen, who knows...

  3. It must be a gen !!

Boy I feel stupid... I'm getting sloppy. :D

I guess this proves how good the reps have become. I was just watching the gap between SEL and the bracelet last link all the time in this photo.

  4. Wait... 4th gen is 42mm. That's a 45 (the date is farther away from the 3 o'clock marker).

Yes of course, my mistake... this is UPO of course... I should have noticed the pearl and HEV. This probably just reminded me of my old 4th Gen Orange. :D

    Even nicer.

  5. All these Skyland threads... well I agree with everyone else. The rep is stunning!

This hobby has changed me a bit though... in the old days I always HAD to get all these stunning watches. Now I have realized that I can enjoy them through other member's reviews too. :D

There's a small difference though... back in 2005 we got three or four stunning reps per year, now we get them almost every week.

  6. Thanks Chris... but I already reviewed a Yacht-Master. I'd like to review a good Day-Date or DateJust one of these days if you have one of those in stock.

PS: Have my Ebel and "special made" Euromariner arrived yet? 9 months without a new watch, so I'm getting a bit "itchy". :D

  7. That's very nice looking YM Chris. Rare MBK/MBW version I think. The YACHT-MASTER font looks good but it's a little bit too large, and I like the rehaut thickness on the Noob version better. It's not bad on the MBW though. This version is supposed to have the best "sparkling dial" effect. The crown looks good too.

  8. Rehaut thickness is not the same thing as rehaut depth.

Thickness refers to this area (red arrows), which is very characteristic Rolex look on all genuine Sports Rolexes.

Pic of a gen GMT Master II.

"Perfect" Yacht-Master lacks this detail, it doesn't have ANY rehaut thickness at all. This particular area is amazingly thick on the genuine SeaDweller, and the "Super SeaDweller" rep looks nothing like the gen in this regard... it completely kills the rep, and makes that overhyped replica below average Rolex rep in my eyes.

Same thing with the wokky "Perfect YM". Horrible replica, which just screams fake.

That detail looks very good on the Noobfactory version. Here's the one I used to own.

Here is the review. Best option from the current rep models, imho.

  9. Swiss seconds at '6 doesn't make any difference, reliability wise. It's the 11 extra gears that cause the reliability problems, not the movement itself (Swiss or Asian).

If you buy a Swiss version, it's just more expensive timebomb. Read my review again, and try to absorb everything what's said in there and read Ziggy's review. All options of purchasing a rep of the modern Daytona are there. Sorry, but that's the case... no matter what you search. And I can assure you that none of the out-of-the forum sites can't provide you better reps than our dealers.

    Happy hunting (whatever you choose)!!!

  10. Could be just technically bad picture. Red saturation is very common in the photos of white dial watches... it's usually noise/saturation from the photographer's hand.

Or then it can just be "reddish" AR, which is common on gen Breitlings as well. I'm not saying this IS the case, just something to consider...
