  1. You are soo dead on BT.. "kids" now day's are into .."for show" .. Power moves are the only answer .. all you said... and full clean and jerks... all the kids want guns but never improve overall base.. squats,.. dead lifts,.. bench.... everyone wants arms and chest.. looks stupid to have large pecs and arms.. no legs.. no back

the only young power lifters that do well.. I'm talking about State and World records are the ones that are willing to put in the work.. training that will make you puke.. not the ones that come in and do bench and bi's and tri's

the squat rack should be your bread and butter .... NO DOUBT.. arms are useless without the base..

    Well said BT

It was the "Weider overtraining principles" that screwed up the whole training scene for decades.

Too many natural, non-steroid using people really believe that they can make progress with those isolation exercises and excessive overload... like training 6 times a week... or other bs like that.

What works for chemically assisted professional bodybuilders don't work for ordinary people. At all.

I openly admit that I took steroids when I competed, but even with chemical assistance I could have never, ever recover from 6 intensive training sessions per week. How could an average, 100% natural family man (with work and other necessities) do that? I still hear about "professional" gym instructors who make this kind of training schedules for ordinary people! If people stopped wasting their time with useless arm curls, leg extensions, butterflys, pec decks and all that other shite... they'd make 200% better results.

It's no surprise that you see so few people continuing with weight training, after the initial 3 months' "amateur burst" is over. If people read some sensible training information, like books by Stuart McRobert or Dr. Ken Leistner, they could make progress that exceed their wildest dreams... without any drugs.

My brother is an ex-cage fighter, now training for boxing. We do our weights together now, and he put on 14 lbs of muscle in 4 months. Nothing special for a chemically assisted guy, but remarkable for a nattie. And he's a small guy, now 180 lbs. We were utilizing only 2!!! hard weight training sessions a week. Monday and Friday.

I'm not a firm believer of HIT or Hardgainer (those guys are way too pragmatic) but if I had to choose between volume/isolation and HIT (for a natural trainee) I would choose less volume and less frequency without hesitation.

  2. I really need to do more biceps isolation. :whistling:

You will never improve your arm size with those isolation exercises. Never. You can't change the shape or definition of your bicep, either. It's all genetic. You seem to have naturally good "peaks" so forget about them now.

If you want bigger arms, you'd better start squatting and deadlifting, and increasing your overall body mass. Have you ever seen a really big guy with big arms and thin torso & skinny legs? Well... me neither. ;)

When I meet kids in the gym (who ask for training advice) they will all get this same answer. 70 percent of man's muscle mass is in the legs and lower back, but 95% of the average trainees concentrate on training the 30%. I mean, how stupid is that... if you want to improve overall?

Do these kids take my advice? Naah, because squats and deadlifts are the hardest exercises to do. But man do they make a lot of arm curls and bench presses... overtrain themselves year after year... and their arms still look like toothpicks.

  3. Are you referring to this one?

    http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67415&hl=

It got moved to his own sales forum, because he's a dealer selling watches/mods.

Other than that... I have no idea, but I'll look into it. If these threads were deleted/made invisible there must have been a good reason.

But I can assure you: We never put dealer interests over our members' interest. Nothing has been deleted to "hide the truth" from the members. Why on earth we'd do something like that?

  4. Good guns Lani.

I think I once took a "gun shot" but I only found a "foregun" shot. I have a powerlifter background and my arms are big and thick... but not very defined at 275 pounds. Never really wanted to be ripped, just big.

I still don't have wrists big enough for the UPO. :D

  5. If you want a honest opinion: No, I don't think it's worth fixing. That particular rep isn't all bad, but it's not great either.

I have also a question: Why have you hand wound your watch? I don't know if you have done that regularly or not, but there's absolutely no need to do hand wind a working ETA-powered watch. Ziggy has said many times that constant hand winding is completely useless, and it will eventually damage the click wheels of the movement.

I don't know if that's the issue with your watch. I doubt it, but this is a good general rule to keep in mind.

  6. Interesting info all... but at the same time so naughty naughty... and useless.

You see, as a forum moderator I have to maintain certain moral standards... so I buy all my CD's and DVD's at full price.

But just out of curiosity... what's the exact URL of this "Library"? :D

  7. You can download in bulk when you use the RapidShare manager. In p2p there are always the slowdowns, while RapidShare always utlizes the full speed of your connection.

Of course you have to pay for the Premium access, but it's only something like $50 for 6 months.

  8. But then again, we usually been one step ahead of false advertising and misrepresentations. Just like we are now, thanks to the knowledge of the membership. That's originally what this forum was all about... to prevent people to get scammed.

This Seagull/ETA thing is nothing new. Like I said, the SMP 007 and Aqua Terras (those with transparent backs) were sold as ETAs. The age old "Lemania" thing, etc.

Which dealers exactly are selling this watch as ETA? King and Paul only?

  9. I'd give Paul a benefit of the doubt.

He's such a dope... I'm not 100% sure if he even knows what he's selling, most of the time.

Not that I want to defend him, but remember in the old days when even Ziggy was fooled by the old factory 007 SMP (another Seagull/ETA incident). Paul has always been sloppy as hell, but I don't think he's stupid enough to try and scam anyone like this. Maybe the factory has misled the dealers?

I know this is not likely, but before we start any kind of inqusition maybe we can give them a chance to explain.

Either way, using misleading descriptions like this isn't acceptable.

  10. I am suprised this thread has not taken off a bit more with replies, are we becoming more acomidating, or acustomized to this kind of thing? So much so that we take it as par for the course?

    Yep, I agree.

I'm going to inform mr.Z about this thread now, and ask his opinion.

  11. Wow that dial looks the same! It seems the cooronet and L position may have appeared in gen like that then!

    Wow indeed.

I stand corrected. Never seen a dial like that before.

There seems to be tons of variation in YM, even more than I thought. I've found out that the SWISSMADE is constantly different. Also the datefont varies between thin and thicker version, plus the YACHT-MASTER font on the dial is different on almost every single watch.

I give up spotting the flaws with the YM. :D

PS: If the movement is really Seagull, then the dealers have a lot of explaining to do.

  12. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it ^_^

Maybe a noob dial would be a good upgrade? Also I have a noob DW overlay that would look perfect, would it be OK with the Seagull ST18?

    Cheers! B)

    Noob dial isn't perfect, either.

The best option is just to forget the whole damn watch. If they have cojones to ask $600 for these things, they'd better start doing things properly.

I'm fed up with these half-assed efforts. What is ok on a $200 rep isn't ok on a $600 rep.

  13. Be careful with this rep. Besides the movement thing, some of these new ones come with a laughable datewheel, which looks nothing like the gen.

Make sure you receive your watch the correct looking date.

And... I don't like the dial. I've never seen a gen YM where the coronet and 'L' in Rolex is positioned like that. All other dial fonts are off too. And even this better datefont is too thin.

See here (look how the coronet and L are positioned). It's all f**ked up on the rep, 'L' is positioned way too left. And no, there is no variation in this.
