You are absolutely NUTS Robert... but I love it.
Fantastic collection no doubt!

That was a classy move Ken. Shame that Neil is on vacation... I'm sure he would donate his genuine Breguet or Ebel Tarawa for Dutchy.

Ah, I forgot it's easter... had to rename the thread. Thanks for reminding me Tribal.

Saw the local weather forecast. Conclusion: the crispy and cool colors always work well on a sunny day.

I need a Tudor Sub.
When will we see the first replica Tudor Submariner? They have repped Tudor Prince Date (Datejust case), Air King, Precision and other low-end Rollies very well... plus lots of cheap ass TAG's... so why the hell not make a rep of Tudor Sub? One of the great mysteries in replica world.

@slay: The sub 6 IS a chrono hour indicator. El Primero Daytonas have running seconds at 9'o'clock (instead of 6'o'clock). The endlinks are the older style non-SEL. Yes, they're not fitting perfectly to the lugs, is that what bothers you? I think that's kinda typical problem with the older type non-SEL bracelets. Good observation though.
But... I rest my case: this is a genuine (or a frankenwatch).
-
I believe that's a genuine Daytona with older El Primero movement.
PS DarthSimon: Any reason you posted this twice?
-
What do I think? Certainly not my style, but at least it's 100 times classier than the new Rolex Cellini models.
Very unusual watch. No hour hand at all?
-
@speedy1: Wow!!! Very nice genuine classic!!!!!
-
Looks like older model of Daytona (with El Primero movement). If you asked me I'd say it's real... subregisters, case and bracelet look good... but then again I'm no Daytona expert.

i'm wareing my black sub at the moment, but i want that omega. i've got to get me one of those. what movement should i look for? i'm going to have to study more about those.
Check my signature, all information is there.

I briefly owned this rep too. Very nice. I traded it... not because it became "outdated" but because I decided that I want the black version.
-
@Panerai: You absolutely HAVE TO post pictures of your franken.
-
@Mansun: Great collection. I see you have been busy buying watches.

Speedy for me:

Excellent example. Great photo too. In fact, I always enjoy looking at your pics!
Looking at your watch on this monitor makes me think that it might be about that time to purchase one of these lovely watches. I have yet to own a 1680! Crazy since I am a vintage Rolex junkie
Best regards, man!
Thanks Euno!!!
Yeah, you gotta have one of these. I'm far from being a Rolex fanboy but the vintage 1680 and GMT Master are "must haves".

Palpatine did all mods for me, including the insert & aged tritium look. I don't have skills to duplicate that. You can find the review/pictorial of this watch from my signature. Here's a few articles of Tommy's vintage projects.

Beautiful, I really like the insert. Congratulations, great watch!!!
-
Thanks.
@Slay: I really like the watch without pearl. It gives extra "vintage character" with the aged insert & dial.
-
Wow...genuine Green Sub for $850.
I think I'll order 100. Talk to you later.
-
Thank you gentlemen.
-
Hope you like it.
-
According to this pic the bezel markers are also luminous.
-
If you ordered the CN GMT Master from Joshua? (as you previously stated)... just force a needle (or something sharp) under the rep insert and squeeze it off. It's a rep insert so you don't have to worry about some miniscule scratches, right?
There's no need to remove the whole bezel assembly for that. And when you glue the new insert in remember to turn it a lot in the next 2 hours so the whole bezel ring won't get glued to the case. Don't use too much glue, either (to prevent it).
