  1. Hey Rob, Sorry to hear about your health issues.....I don't know why these things happen! Keep the faith and hopefully something good will come up! You're probably familiar with this poem, but let me share it with you anyway, I'm always humbled when I read it: Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. F-

  6. Instead of the shoe polish, you could also use a Basebal Glove oil. I usually soak mine after all the recommended treament is done and the strap is fully dried. The oil makes the strap soft and environment resistant....I actually treat all my leather strap with this! My 2 cents!
  7. Excellent idea BT! I have favorites of each of my watch wristie, but I'll post just a few: My AP ROO Safari, which I think is out of it's "natural environment", but worked perfectly: and then the others.......

  9. Hey R-! Thanks! I'll be buying the GMT IIc and DSSD V5 soon and still debating wether to go with the Asian version or ETA. For some reason the qoute that I've read "buying a said Swiss ETA is a waste of money", seems to stick in my mind. I've tried to search that post here and RWI, but can't find it! All of the Swiss 2836 on my older Rolexes have been fine till now, but I had bad experience on both the DSSD v2 and v3. I dunno, maybe I should stick with Swiss ETA! F-

  13. I know this Question have been discussed before, but I think it's about time to update this topic. I'm talking specifically about the REP ROLEX movements! I believe we even have two camps here; SWISS......ASIAN! That's my quandary..... Has there been any changes in these movements that would favor the so called Swiss? Or should I stay Asian with the confidence that the quality is about the same? I'm looking at purchasing a GMT IIc WHS and the DSSD V5/Ultimate, but can't decide on the movement......I need some tips on which movement to go...... SWISS or ASIAN??? Experts.........please chime in! Thanks in advance!!! *Please do not get confused by my SIG below! I'm asking about the ETA/ASian 2836!!!
