  1. Nobody wants to help me?

Hey Marcox! I beat if you upgrade your membership, people will chime in.......just my thought! You could also PM freddy and ubi.......they're the resident expert

on these watches! Hopefully they're not too busy! You could also send a shoutout to The Zigmeister.......he might be able to help you, if he's around and and not too busy himself!

    Hike

  2. Not saying a syringe wouldn't work, but I can't imagine that turning out looking good. I say do it the right way and separate the dial and apply the lume to the back plate. That's probably easier anyway.

+1 The best is to separate the two (use a box cutter blade)! Also spray paint the back plate with white flat acrylic! I believe Francisco does this on his lume mod...and does come out better!

  3. 1. You avatar is great! If those are your, ahem,"watches", you are a lucky man.

    2. Love the slytech 207a, but what is the significance of the blue numerals and hands??? I am looking at the DSN 207a with black hands/numbers for maybe my next one.

Thanks, Dude! Waiting for the surprises in the mail!

According to the history of this particular PAM, this was the first (7 or 10 of them) prototype/version presented to Sly, but he didn't like it, so Panerai made him the black numerals version!

  4. Thanks for the feedback

Yes I agree, some sun turned the dial closer to an off white, and hopefully more sun will get to that cream color.

I didn't realize the AP bands was such a hassle.

Couldn't I just install the metal stubs from my rep bands into the AP Bands (coz i noticed some bands like strapluxe don't even have the stubs in them)

It won't work! You have to trim the ends! But then again, maybe they make new ones now for the REP market! They only make them for the GENs a few months back when I ordered mine! I have three of them and I have to trim each one!

    Goodluck!

  5. @jurgenk! Congrats and Welcome to the club!

You're right about the dial and the strap.......to avoid this give away, change the strap right away. What makes this a Safari is the Strap! After that, its another AP ROO!

The dial BTW changes its hue depending on the lighting situation.....it gets that gen look closer to Sunset!

    My recomendations:

#1: Get a diff. strap.......if you get an AP BAnd, be prepared to do some mod on their strap (filing about an 8th off of the Head tip!) koz it will not fit!

#2. Get a spare set off screws and steel connector....whatever you call it......the part that connects the strap to the head!

#3. Grease the bottom rubber o-ring (make sure to put back the screws like putting back your car tire, criss-crossed, two first and with the same equal torque applied) and

the pushers and crown........mine passed the 10ATM test good enough to go diving to 100ft!

#4. Wear it under the SUN for 6 weeks straight, this seem to have changed the color of my Dial close to the GEN! Or maybe it was the Tropical Weather/temperature of Asia

    that did it? :D

Good luck and wear it well!

  6. What would be the best shipping option on these?

Registered Airmail or good old EMS?

I thought both were trackable but which one is bestest?! lol

I am soooo tempted to get one of these, even though I can't afford it...

Damn this rep business, damn it!! :D

I went Registered Airmail and the darn thing showed up in 5 days! Can't get any faster than that from HK to US!

  7. I got two PAM Homages from them to play with and an A6497 with a free extra H3 cannon pinion! All their A6497 based watches have the tall cannon pinion!

Nice, in-expensive PAM Homage to hone your skills.....luming, breakdown or maybe servicing! I'm starting with the lume and

    cannon pinion upgrade jobs!
