  1. Ok, forgive my ignorance, but I was told a few times on this forum that any "watchsmith" can waterproof a watch... And that this was done by "greasing the seal and the pin or something like that"...

Now after your help in finding a watch smith, I went ahead and called up your referrals and 3 others of my own... Every single watchsmith told me that all we can do is "pressure test" the watch, and making a watch "waterproof" is not something we do.... They also said, whether a watch will be waterproof or not totally depends on the "build or assembly" of the watch.... Now this is completely contrary to what I've been told...

I swim in every one of my watches, and always will... What am I missing here and why am I getting different information?

    Thanks,

    Jeremiah

  2. Hello all,

I understand, that a 7750 movement requires servicing, immediately after arrival from Asia (or soon thereafter).

But is this also the case for ETA / ETA clone automatic (non chrono) movements? Or can they wait a year or two before having them serviced?

What do you do if you get a new watch with ETA / ETA clone movement?

Thank you for sharing your experience!

iT'S YOUR CHOICE. I haven't had any of mine serviced and so far, they keep on tickin! Some would say I'm playin with fire........fire's good!

  3. I do like colors but the strap was modeled after the gen Sachin. The rep end links fit the AP bands strap without any modification. Plug and play.

Oracle end links and straps won't work with AP bands or rep end links and straps. I've tried...

Wow! You're lucky! I ordered 3 straps from AP Bands and all three needs a shaving of about 1/8th" to fit them properly! It was a bummer!

    One was this brown Hornback:

  4. Hi BT!

I've stoped playing PC games and not involved with day-to-day PC configs anymore, but what I figure is that almost all new games are grapics intensive and requires Graphics cards for gaming.....meaning very good GPUs and tons of memory!

On the CPU side, dual core is a must at the minimum.....Quad core is preffered! 4 Gigs of RAM are now de riguer for all graphics intensive applications!

Your System looks good, but I think needs more umph on the System memory and GPU card for gaming!

my 4 cents worth! I'm pretty sure some Gamers will chime in here very soon! I have a quad core System with 4Gig RAM and 2 Terabytes of storage! I use my machine mainly for DVD movie de-crypting and Recoding to my Hard drive for a Multi-media Home Theater use and some Adobe CS4 use!

    Good luck!

  5. Get a-hold of Jushua and explain the status of the watch when you got it! He'll take it back! Don't play around

with it anymore and don't take it to a watchsmith without contacting him first!
