  3. Another DIY PAM Distressed Homage.........

    Assembled another Rad Homage, this time using an old dial that I painted with three layers of paint.....red/yellow/black and then distressed it by using a Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge........

    When I got just the right effect/look, I applied 3 coats of Glow Inc. Ultra Blue Lume to the hour markers and a coat on the hands (Drying time=24 Hrs each coat)!

    Here we go:

    The Dial after the 2nd coat of Lume (I used the Pink or #60 flat screw driver to apply the lume):

    That's fantastic, bro, what was the source of the dial?

    #TJ......thanks Amigo! From a spare dial I got from another Getat project! A little bit of torture seems to work on the dial~

    I just removed it from the case and movement to work on it a little bit more!

    Those were taken earlier today; we've got quite a lot more since then (14" where I am), and they're forecasting double that by tomorrow.

    The crazy thing is it's supposed to be back into the 60's by Sun/Mon...

    Hi! I do, but not sure if they are real sapphire or not? I trust Tat, though. He comes across as somebody trust worthy! I have exchange a lot of emails with

    him and he always respond on time! Also very eager to take your comments and inputs! Any problems I have with my orders he personally takes care and it is always

    done on a very timely manner!

    Not to oversell Getat, but I wish all our collectors are the same!

    I rate him as excellent overall!

    BTW: The movement I use on this is a spare Swiss6497 I have. It had a stripped Set Lever, so I cannibalized a spare Asian6497 to get this one working!

    I didn't think a watch could be any more repulsive, then I saw; they also offer it in Rose Gold

    It is an interesting site tho', this caught my eye on the homepage;
