  1. Shame that he's regressing to his bad old self.  At least you were able to get that Clapton albino from him.  What a beauty!

+1 on the Spinmaster recommendation, unless you have access to a skilled watchsmith or are one yourself.  Expect to pay $500-700 for a modded and serviced A7750 in a pretty convincing DW Daytona.  The next step up will realistically cost about $1500-2000, minimum.  Unfortunately, Spin can often be hard to reach, and is often imagined to be a Howard Hughes-like recluse.

I almost send it back....if not for the dial. Lot's of work I put on this baby......and the dawg vly came up with the best part!

Spin is easy to get in touch with.......for me anyway!

  2. I won't recommend buying from DW right now.....I just got 3 of his watches and they all are nightmares! Not unless you know how to work on watches....then go ahead.

PM Spinmaster and see if he's got one available? It's a little more, but worth it. Best option is watch the FS Section, these model pops up once-in-awhile!

    Good luck!

  3. Nothing wrong with the watch! Something's definitely wrong with the watchmaker who serviced it. A good watchmaker should have sorted out all the issues with the whole watch when he offered to service it for a fee and should give you a warranty of at least a year.

For $300 - I would expect it to be done right.....the first time! It's insane to charge you that much and end up with a paper weight! :bangin:

  4. My SOP with REPs that are suppose to be water resistant:

    upon receipt, do the following:

    - Check the crystal to make sure they are properly installed/mounted (I had a GMT-IIc that had an improperly mounted xtal)

    - Open up the Case Back and make sure it has a rubber o-ring then grease it.....if not put a new one that had been greased

    - Unscrew the crown and release it, check to make sure it has an o-ring, the tube have an o-ring inside and out (triplock)........remember to grease!

    - when done.....put back the crown and the CB and make sure its well tightened.

    - have it pressure tested so that when you go diving  :snorkel: you drown 1st before your watch! :partytime:

    Good luck!
