  1. I only take the one's I waterproof meself to shower/swimming and have them tested to at least 10ATM if I plan to dive with them! Believe it or not, if you do some of the REP Chronos right, you could dive with them!

All these Chronos passed 10 ATM:

  2. Photoshop is the way to go, but downside for you is it's memory intensive both on your CPU and GPU! Latest version is CS4! I have CS3 that I don't use anymore that I tried to sell here a month ago, PM me if you're interested! If you have just a small project, I would recommend taking BT's offer!

Alternative to Photoshop is a freebie called GIMP.....click Here!! I use it for quick editing before, but quit since I got CS4!

    Good luck!

  3. Hope everyone had a Great VD! and for those with a Dirty Mind like myself, I mean Valentines Day! Now I hope you got lucky, too!

I've always been infatuated with watches that has something blue in them and it started with the Blue Two Tone Sub.....

    subttwrst1.jpg

The First REPs I ordered have something blue in them:

    A Blue Dialed Breitling Navi:

and a PAM253 with the Blue 2nd Hand on a Blue Elephant Skin:

So when the Blue IWC Costeau 2006 came out, it was a no brainer for me.....gotta have that one:

This PAM came next (my special thanks to Hackr and Stormtooper4!), notice the blue indices?:

and then this APROO Blue Navy came knockin......

And now to our subject matter at hand, the Rolex Submariner Maxi Everything Blue Cerachrome 116619 in WHite Gold, introduced in Basel 2008. The first REP that came out was almost tempting for me and I almost bought it last December 2009, but I was told by my dealer to wait because it is coming out in 316F SS.....which I was hoping will be as close to white gold in finish and sheen as I can compare in Pictures, although I can't really tell. On to the comparison and a little Review, or IMHO as they say. This is the New 316F SS Version with the Swiss ETA2836-2 (Verified by WatchSmith) option!

The Blue color, depending on the lighting conditions, changes from a light blue to dark blue...on the REP anyway.

Here's a series of bright sunlight shots and diffused:

One thing I love about this new SUB is the CG.....now the REP is almost dead-on, I say almost...from what I can see:

    GEN:

    REP:

SAme with the Bezel, the Insert and the End Links:

    REP next 3 pictures:

On close-up, the GEN crystal is rounded and the REP is the standard Beveled crystal that is on most newer model REPs.

and check the Pearl, and engravings on the rehaut and bezel, looks good I might say:

Now the bracelet, and I'll say very close:

The Glidelock, and this is where my only disappoinment is, when I took out a link from the glidelock side, I found out that the screw was frozen in place and I broke the inner link trying to force the screw out, Gorrilla Glue to the rescue! Lesson learned??? Apply your "White Lightning Pro LUbe" before you work with the links!

The Lume....could use some work, but good enough out of the Box.

    GEN compared with a YatchMaster:

Another try, this taken just before I close the Dark Room:

    and door closed:

    bsublume1.jpg

Well, that was fun. I love this Sub! I had all the rubber O-rings greased and had my watchsmith pressure test it and it passed 10ATM! Good enough for me. My rating from 1-10, 10 being :1a: :

    Case - 10

    Bezel + Insert + Pearl - 9

    Color - 9

    Build - 9

    Bracelet - 8

    Glidelock - 6

    Overall Score = 8.5

Timing Accuracy: So far it gained 30 secs since Last Monday......7 days!
