  1. When I played tennis but particularly golf, I used to get callouses just there on my ungloved left hand (I swing lefty, though I write righty). Editted.

Nice peak at your collection and Seiko Mostro, Slai!

P.S.: I'm not going to be power-lifting, obviously. I'm going for a full cardio workout, and easy does it in the beginning -- I'm no gym rat like you guys! ;) My goal is to shed the stone I gained last year, so that I can go back to tennis particularly. It's my great sporting love.

I'm with you there Viktorija, I picked up about 8 of those stones :bangin::Jumpy: !lol:lol:lol

  2. Thx for the MSM tip guys. Just picked some up and I hope it helps.

HikeUSA and lanikai, gloves, straps? Who needs stinkin gloves? It's all about the callouses.

Watches included to stay on topic. ;)

Now!!!! Thats what I call a real man........ Gloves are for sissies :yuk::Jumpy: .....not that there's anything wrong with that!!!! LOL!

  3. .. yeah some people feel lost without the wristi..... I can't sleep without a timepiece on my wrist.. ..

nah ... my buddies are all world class, they warm up with 300 lb. bench, do over 400 reverse grip.... some training for World strong man comp... the "Young guns" we call them..now it's our turn to push them to their limits..

check with your doc, there is a fluid that is shot into the knees and shoulders.. selav--- can't remember the name .. it stays in the joint for a year or more and acts like a cartilage.. supposeldy really great stuff...i keep wanting it done.. no cartilage in my left knee

the only reason for the ban on camera's .. there's a lot of my friends that have parlayed their bodybuilding or power lifting into very lucrative endorsments and contracts, and they train alot of people who like their privacy. the news cameras come in alot and screw up your training.. pain....... plus the locker room perves

but whatever you wear.. wear it well...

Ouch! Does that mean no cardio for you....or just something else? I'm doing ok so far! Just can't do marathons anymore! Doing a lot of cardio cross training......gotta maintain the stamina to do my mountain climbing escapades! It's a pain (in the knee) going down, though. Another reason why I can't really bulk up....I can't get too heavy, else the knee will complain! Good luck to 'ya! Hope your left knee holds up! Watch those 500lbs squats :thumbsupsmileyanim::1a:

  4. Hi hambone, orchard road is a pretty big place and there are many ADs there too. Can't remember there is any watchsmith there.

    Hi ALant!

I stayed at the Marriotts (there's an AD next to it with nice PAMs) on Orchard Rd. last June and if I remembered correctly, if you cross Orchard Rd. from there and walk to your rt., rt after you pass Starbucks, I believe there were several watchsmiths on that building where you also find several fastfood restaurants! Just kinda cruise around there and I'm pretty sure, you'll find a few!

    Good luck!

BTW: I'm curious, what did Joshua tell you?

  5. i have an oppo 981 un-converting dvd player. the thing is great...plays anything you throw at it and the the sound it puts out when you play a CD is amazing.

Isn't it great? These darn cheap DVD players are amazing! I also have the 981HD on a Sanyo Z2000 projector to a 124" screen and this sucker is unreal!

Beautifull, sharp picture....nice color... very close to HD! Blu-Ray is another story.....but I could live with this for now! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  6. Welcome to the forum and welcome to rep collecting.

Don't worry about your sub. Even the watches from Rolex seem to be imperfect to some folks here.

If it looks good, it is good. You have to start somewhere, and you have started with a better rep sub than most us here did a few years ago.

The perfect sub is like the Holy Grail- the search will go on forever but it will never be found. Enjoy your watch.

    Carl

hi Carl! Do you mean the "Perferct Rep Sub"?:D

  7. For the mean time, while the format war is still hot...get the OPPO upconverting DVD player....one of those things that the Chinese made right!!! And you could still burn your own personal copy.....try that with Blu or HD!........you can, but its gonna cost you!!!!

  8. Here are a couple of designs to consider. The first is good for New York as it combines office efficiency. ;)

This one will move along with stealth and people will be certain to clear a path for you.

    hypebikezp7.jpg

And this one is traditional, yet romatic to boot! :D Ahh life is full of choices!

I love you, man!!!! I miss our rating ICONS!!! This one is rated funny!

  9. I know this is off topic.. but oh well .. MSM Methylsulfonylmethane .. it's a sulfate that the body produces naturally for joints... it came out on the market not too long ago.. i started taking it on advise from a friend.. i could not do military on the barbell full range.. a friend at the gym..he's a neurosurgeon.. told me the body needs up to 20000 mg a day.. i was taking 2000.. so i upped it to 15 to 20 pills a day.. and now can do 225 250 military (free weights) barbell full range.. take the MSM only once in a while to maintain.

Good one Lani!!! Add Gloucosamine/Chondroitin (from Costco/Kirkland - Consumer Reports rated #1 last year) 3x a day........good for the joints overall.....quit running 10 years ago (for 1 year) due to OsteoArthritis on my right knee, then read Dr. Theodasakis (I think) book about gloucosamine b4 anyone heard about it (had to special order from a Lab in LA at the time) and been back running since then, but also been taking these stuff (added MSM two years ago) since then!

Lani!!! by looking at your pictures, you look like you're a serious lifter.....225-250 FW military...dude!!! That's some serious load! I could only do that on Smith! Hats off to'ya! Watch during GYM time....sh#@*%...I was born with one  just can't go without one! We don't really need it! Time is all over the place....Cell phone, wall clock, PCs/Laptops, bank signs, buildings, etc. etc. etc., but we all here buy 5-10-15-20-50 of them.......we're different folks!!!! Some say we're nuts, but that just our nature! That's why we belong to two, three different forums.......hehehe!

Cameras' on our gym......this is a small gym in our bulilding and everybody knows everyone......nobody cares! One of the guys actually took some of these shots..........

  10. Thanks The Zigmeister, when I looked at it under a microscope that's what I saw, the hairspring touching the coils, or touching each other? I'll bring it to the other shop tomorrow, with your information. If he questions the brand, I'll just tell him I don't know brands, he may not even know the brand. He'll see that it's a genuine movement. Either way, I'm not enjoying my ladies size 40mm, 1665 watch in the interim.

    Buy another 44MM PAM! :lol::bangin:

  11. I recently purchased the Rolex SS LV beginmariner and am very please with the transaction and shipping process. :1a: I have recieved compliments on my "rep" subariner. The situation no is that after a week of daily wear (nothing by water), I am noticing that I have to readjust the time as the watch seems to be losing minutes. :( it has an automatic eta 2813 movement.

Any sugestions for a quick fix?

Is this the Swiss ETA? If it is, that's strange...I have this same version from Joshua and it's been running fine! I have 2 of the Xmas speical from Andrew, a Black Sub and A YatchMaster with Chinese ETA and both of them are loosing 4 minutes a day.....Andrew told me to bring it to a watchsmith nearby....as if they're all over the place!

So....I made them into my guinea pigs, opened them up and been playing (adjusting) them for the last two days, thanks to Freddy333's help! I'm getting very close, the Sub seems to be

gaining a minute a day and the Yathy seems to be within 30 secs. A little fine tuning and I'll zero it hopefully by tomorrow!

Here's the topic if you wanna do the same: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry380759

Make sure that you purchase the stuff that freddy suggested from Ofrei....You'll need them....the gaskets that came with this cheap Rollies are dry!!!

    Good luck!

  12. HikeUSA, your gym doesn't frown on bringing a cam in?

Ahh...benchpresses...I just reinjured my right rotator cuff so no pressing for me for a few weeks. :(

I've been a member for 18 years, so they give me free reign of the place! Slai, have you tried using rubbers or light weights to strengthen ur RC? Just do a lot of

shoulder exercise doing 3 sets of 18 to 24 reps each! I injured my right side (still bothers me once-in-awhile), but its much better now. Also, do a lot of stretching (use the

door frame) b4, during and after each chest/shoulder routine! Brace your left and right arms on the frame and push your whole body forward until u feel a good stretch,

    count to 20!

    Good luck!

  13. :animal_rooster::animal_rooster::animal_rooster:

eta doesn't reccomend it.........but it works :thumbsupsmileyanim: at least it makes the watch wearable! who cares if the movement lasts forever if it sounds so bad i won't wear it! go for it..... what's ther to lose? i like to go against the grain and do things my way. i seriously doubt this can cause any harm in any way unless extreme cold i would think the rotor may not spin well.... other than that......... :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Flav or anyone! Have you tried this on the Asian Chopard MM XL? All the owners of this watch knows it sound like a diesel engine! This might be the fix???? Anyone?>
