  1. I agree, Sinn's are very nice pieces. When I was over at anotehr board. I noticed a lot of Paneristi wearers really like the "Sammy"? I think that is a nickname for Samurai by Seiko?
  2. Not bad! I googled the images of them. I forgot to add. The MTM Special Ops watch is another gen I would love to own. Jack Bauer! http://www.specialopswatch.com/
  3. What's on your gen watch list? I guess that was the whole point of me going after a Rolex Explorer II after years of collecting Reps in the early days. Breitlings, Daytonas, Pateks, etc were all very inaccurate, back in the mid 90's. Today: WOW! And so last year I bought a Gen Breitling B1. With a pretty confident idea that they won't ever get the quartz display correct So anyways, I have the love of both Reps and Gens but I do want to ensure that my next gen purchase is never replicated to perfection. I am pretty safe that the PAM233 will never be copied, but again that is a step up from being affordable! Can anyone think of the watches in the sub $6,000 range that is safe from being copied? I'm kind of pondering getting a gen BALL or a Glashutte Navigator for my 2007 annual purchase. Regards. My list: 1 A German watch 2 A tobacco/brown dial watch 3 An affordable Minute repeater (excludes the Campanola, unless they work out some bugs on it) 4 A special edition Panerai 5 Tag Monaco 69
  4. Looks good on you. Wear it well.
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/PANERAI-LUMINOR-PAM127...1QQcmdZViewItem ^^^^I think the non-special edition boxset and packaging gives this one away the most. Certainly doesn't look like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Panerai-Luminor-1950-P...VQQcmdZViewItem This Seller has got three models for sale and all using the standard Replica boxset.
  6. Yep, I see it now All the H0035/2000 which are on all the backsides of the PAM111H's. Must suck to be the guy that owns the real H series #35.
  7. I'm thinking the same thing. A gen s/s bracelet is over $5 g's and I believe I read somewhere that it is not compatible to the gen 111 casing. Here is the response I received: "Don't worry about it. I am not shipping outside the US anyway so you CAN'T bid. Therefore, your decision is made!" Hence, no pictures of the back movement were sent to me.
  8. Great looking product from EL! Congrats.
  9. What gives it away the most? I tried to copy the pic to word and blow it up as much as I could. Looks like a non-dagger needle and I can't even see the swan neck? I e-mailed the seller asking them to provide a clear pic of the pic, and maybe I would bid BSAK
  10. New GMT I have a pic of this watch in my wallet. I have the exact same feelings about this watch that this guy had, when he pulled the trigger and then found out that the 233 has a newer "Evil brother"!
  11. I think phoband mentioned it before about the Davidsen dials in another thread. The diameter of the dial is shaved all aroudn to fit inside the casing. (Man, that is some serious patience! As I can't even control my dremel on an aluminum IPOD case mod) And the split is the separation from the dial and the superlume
  12. I'll vouch for Eddie as well. He's a good Dealer and the product will come eventually. Stunning watch! I'll be adding this on my shopping list.
  13. Did ne1 receive their strap yet? Waiting patiently. Regards.
  14. Thank goodness Jimmy changed the listing. I received this "sapphire with AR" piece a month ago and promptly returned it declaring it glass with no AR. Plus it didn't fit my casing. Too big even with the silicone or rubber lining removed. I was refunded with no problems. He said his distributor assured him it was genuine sapphire, so I can only imagine that Jimmy ripped that guy a new hole. His new batch should be alot better, once he sells these ones all off.
  15. Great lookng 111H! I know a lot of Paneristi have talked about the "L SWISS MADE L" being too close to the 6 - Mainly on the 177H reps. And not evenly spaced out as the Gen reps. Solution Davidsen dials. But has anyone gone to the Boutiques/AD's and checked out the various models that should have this even spacing on Sandwich dials? I have been to the various Tourneau's in NYC and in Las Vegas (Bellagio and Ceasar's Palace-Torneau). I will confirm that SOME Panny models have this identifying mark!?! I even have a TOURNEAU catalogue from the store that shows this is NOT necessarily an issue for "screaming out Replica"! Weird tidbit. But nevertheless, it does bug me about my 177H and I hope to upgrade like your 111H and Phoband's upgraded piece! Cheers guys!
  16. Movement works perfectly! Eddie Lee = #1
  17. EDIT: I re-read your problem. Indeed you have the crown guard facing the wrong direction. Sorry I misread too fast. ALl the best... You shouldn't be worried. Upside down crown guards are correct for the 217 Marina Militaire (production run 1,000) and the 127 - Fiddy (production run 1950) Here are links to the authentics.
