Cortebert engraving on gear removed?

Hi Leitz,

Nope! No removing...

a simple gear replacement... (The second mvmt arrived today)

I can get you one clear gear if you want it for replacement.

The brevetatto back was bought with the case on ebay (from a nice seller - jetbaker2049 - who is no longer registered).

A final pic of the strap after 1 week of sunbathing (on vacation one week ahead of me!).

This one will be sewn to the lugs of my 3646 (wonderfully modded by Finepics and one its way back home).

BTW does anyone know where to source more of these amazing buckles?

Hey Ed. I know you've been looking for a strap for your fixed lug WM 3646. Here's an idea below. Looks like this person just cutaway part of the bottom layer at the loop end of the strap then re-sewed along the sides. I like it.

30 seems like an absolute STEAL to me. i spoke with 2 local engravers and they wanted much much more than that and couldn't make any promises about the end result.

i'm really digging this project, keep up the good work

The problem with these guys is that you have to "press" them to exhaustion before they assure you they´ll do a flawless work for you.

It takes a lot of patience and a lot of time!!!

I had to talk with 5 professionals before I found this guy.

They´re the best value for your money.

I have one MF WWII strap on my fiddy for some months and I find it very wrist friendly and with a very nice ageing process.

If you´re on vintage leathers you should try Watchinger stuff also.

Paid for it to a seasoned engraver.

Expensive but very delicate work.

Engraving looks great - no you dont need to worry about getting a new CG.

hey mad, is that a 127 case?

I have the 127 case and bought davidsens MM dial and it didnt fit, too small, the dial would not sit right and sit on the glass. once the movement was screwed on, it looked better, but wasnt right. the dial is about a 1mm too small, doesnt sit right.

This was my experience.

Mine is a RXW case and it fits very well.

My only problem will be installing the cortebert mvmt...

The dial fits the mvmt but I will need a spacer ring to fit both to the case.

Maybe Finepics can help me with that since he had the same problem with the cortebert mvmt I sold him 3 weeks ago.

And then I will ask Finepics for a nice Plexi Crystal as soon as I get my 3646 back from him.

I had forgotten that and what's interesting is that it shows only one 2533 being made yet the one in the photos on this site is not the same as the one in the Panerai Museum. The crystal is damaged in this one so is it a hommage or is it genuine? Translation is needed!!!
