  1. For Marco

    my newest :D

    Nice mvmt Sigi !

By the way, I thank you very much for your care and help!!!

Tell Herbert your straps have an amazing quality and craftsmanship.

The vintage tan calf strap I have on my Radiomir is smoother than peach skin!

  2. Not easy to transplant this as really I need to get a proper movt ring made up. The Cort is smaller than the Molnija so its loose in the Mol movt ring and the clamp screws are not functional as the Cort has the screw recesses flush on the bottom plate where the Mol has the screws sunk down to be level with the case clamp grooves, but for now the bezel holds everything tight and I will wear it for a while to see how well the Cort keeps time. Luckily the Molnija hour wheel is a straight swap and a bit of bodging got the minute hand to fit. The Cort stem needs re-threading to downsize it to fit the crown. A quick fix but looks nice eh!!!!

My sincere thanks to Marco (Madasboot) for his help with this project - could not have happened without him.

    Looks just great!!

    You shouldn't thank me, M..

You should thank God (and I am agnostic!!!) for the skills he gave you...

BTW all your work looks amazing and your philantropic nature and sharing enlights us all.

    Cheers,

    M.

  3. Hi there,

Since I dont understand dutch language I thought my photos were being used on a scam and maybe for that I acted a little jumpy over it...

    Sorry Dutch.

You can use my photos as you like and I wish you luck on finding your cal. 616.

    and thanks for your PM.

  4. Hi

I have read the contents and the guy is searching for a Cortebert watch, he is not selling it, So I think he has no picture and thus borrowed one from you...

    good luck

    arthur

    I am relieved then.

But maybe it would be nice for the fellow to ask permission to use the fotos (They have my thumb on it!).

    I would do so...

    Cheers,

    M.

  5. Hi Guys,

I was browsing for Cal. 616 on google and some reference conducted me to the marktplaatz.nl.

Just take a look at this link:

    http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php?url=ht...A%253Bosi%253A2

Someone is using my photos (see my post under Cortébert cal.616) to sell something and since I can´t understand dutch I am not able to read the contents of the auction.

One thing is for sure, I am [censored] with this seller for using images he doesn´t own and probably he´s going to scam someone with them!!!

  7. Unfortunatelly no... but there are a bunch of people here I´d like to meet.

However I had a bad experience with a fellow from old RWG (Movingshadow) last summer.

When he knew I was going to Las Vegas on vacation he gave me his cell phone number and asked me to call him as soon as I arrived.

I called some time after I arrived there and we agreed to meet for some beers...

In the end he didn´t appear and let me (and my wife) hanging for 1 and 1/2 hour waiting for him on the lobby of the hotel.

I tried to call later but no reply.

    No explanations after that also...

    Hope he´s Ok with that...

  8. I am so jealous!! I have also recquisitioned a open ended strap, but from Jurgen's from a WWII gun holster. Still waiting for it.

    Eddy

    Hi Eddy,

Ask Watchinger to make you one of these.

It took 1 week to be produced and shipped (!!!) to Portugal after I placed the order.

Send him my scheme and ask him to produce it on natural leather:

  9. post-411-1151803432_thumb.jpgprofile and one (half sewn half not) capturing the extra fine texture of the strap...

Cheers to you all and a special big Vielen Danke to Herbert for providing me the best straps for my pams - his 26/26mm Vintage leather is a real winner - and to Finepics.

  10. post-411-1151803012_thumb.jpgand some shots of a work-in-progress distressed strap.

Special order from watchinger (done amazingly quick and with an excellent leather) open ended and with no stitches or punch holes.

I´ve done the distress and controlled ageing process myself, and also the sewing holes and the half sewing...

... the rest will be done as soon as I get my vintage 3646 back from a special revamp...

    Cheers,

    M.
