ive found the black bay to actually be the same size as a rolex sea dweller 4000. it is a little thick and a 38 -39mm version would be great. i hope tudor introduces a GMT model sometime but maybe thats stepping on rolex's toes a little too much

I wear a 16610 most days (or a 1016) and the original BB wore too large for me personally with about a 6 inch wrist. The idea of a GMT is cool but I doubt they could do anything near the old classic GMTs but I'm very willing to be proven wrong.

  2. I've found everybody talking about them to be honest. My opinion on the matter would be

Black Bay Bronze: Nice looking but the 3-6-9 dials on a sub never really were my style and 43mm is too big for my taste, though I even found the original BB to wear a bit too big for my liking compared to my sub.
Black Bay Dark: Like to look, not sure if I'm sold on the lack of end-links but otherwise it's got a rather roguish look to it.
Black Bay (Black Dial): Lovely classic look. My favourite.
Heritage Black Bay 36: Great size, No idea why it's a BB though and the indices may be a bit large for my liking.
Tudor Style Fluted Bezel: That watch is hideous to me. It just looks incredibly bloated in the middle and completely out of scale.
Advisor Cognac: I can take it or leave it. I'm not a fan of the new series of advisor to begin with.

Tudor can make some great watches, but I don't see anything here that I'd race out to get (Except the BB black if it were to fit my wrist).

  3. Just bought myself a macro lens today for my DSLR and very quickly churned out a couple of shot.

    Worn during the day:

    Then during the evening:

In which I found out how dodgy of a watchmaker I was when I looked at the macros.

  4. Wear whatever makes you happy, I would have to agree with 508 that dress watches are more fitting but it really depends on the dress code and the like. The watches you've listed could definitely stand out with more formal dress and could run into problems with fitting under the shirt cuff and the Batman or pepsi are both quite colourful. Personally I would go with a dress watch or me being the weirdo I am will probably wear my family pocket watch.

  5. I run into the same issue when contemplating micro-brands as the others above. The price is usually the prohibitive factor and for me personally often the size as most I have seen have pushed to 40mm for the dressier and 42mm+++ for divers which is far to large for me (for reference I generally wear a 1016 with joy and a 16610 for a diver which I wouldn't want to go too much larger than without it looking a bit big). I also find that they generally either look like homages or quite ugly from my experience.
