  1. Thanks StormTrooper4 that is a really really helpful reply. I had assumed the 196 and 250 were the same but wanted to check that one wasn't made by a different factory. Great price as well so I think it's definitely the 250 for me then! I see from previous posts that you love our 196 and I am sure you wear it well! As ever some nice new shoes will be required as the straps are always poor but you're right when you say the saving will pretty much sort that. I also see they seem to be K serial numbers and I like not having the newest letter model for some reason so all good. As for the Chrono wobble I've had gens from panerai - non Chrono I must say that don't compare the some of my reps. So all swings and roundabouts. Hanks again.
  2. Hello All This is likely as stupid a question as it sounds but the 196 gets a great write up as being one of the best reps out there and the pages at the TD i use (Andrew at Trusty Time who I have to say is always exceptional on the customer care front) - highlights this. I am more a fan of the brushed 250 case but the page for the latest rep of that isn't as glowing in its write up so I wanted to ask those that know - that being you! - if the 250 is an inferior rep for some reason or if it just isn't getting the love it's due? I am torn between the 326 and the 250 but if the 250 is as good as the 196 then I think that would be the way I would go. Any help really really appreciated. Thanks Damon
  3. Hello all. I have pretty much decided that the latest addition is to be the pam 326 - although I would love to hear from anyone as to how gen like the blue dial is in real life? I understand that this may be classed as a super rep but again if any of you knowledgable chaps have any thoughts on that I am all ears. Been out of the game a little while and the itch has returned so there is bound to be a flurry of purchases forthcoming! But that aside I am interested to hear what current blue dial pam owners have decided to do strap wise. It's a given that the strap it comes with will have to go straight away but I'm not majorly keen on blue croc anyway so what do others think is a good look with the blue? I think a black croc/alli may be the way to go but am not certain yet. Any pics as ever would be great. I look forward to seeing what you've all done. Cheers
  4. Cheers Folex - I had tried to search but everything I put in made the flood control go into overdrive so your response is much appreciated. V6 did look better to my eyes apart from the lume but always good to ask the experts!!
  5. Hi I'm new to Hublot and want to get a big bang black magic version 1 or evolution but there are so many versions available I'm really struggling to get to a point of buying as I can't work out which is best. The H fac ones are newer but also cheaper and I'm not sure whether they are as good as the previous daddies which I believe were V6 manufactured. If anyone can shed any light on what is the most accurate available I would be very appreciative. Also any info on why would be great if you have the time. Damon
  6. Great pics bumroxas. 177 for me I think!
  7. Little thikngs like that will drive you mad and most likely no one else will ever notice but it's got to be right! I'm sure you'll get it sorted!
  8. What's the flaw on the Noob one then Noobinstein?
  9. Thanks Mr Wilby - that is really useful info. Muchly appreciated!!
  10. Thanks Storm. Appreciated. But taking aesthetics out (which I know are vital) do you think they are both equally good reps or does one stand above the other in terms of accuracy? Thanks
  11. I've definitely decided that a titanium pam is for me! I had thought the 177 was going to be the one but the 240 is stealing a march. Has anyone here got any thought on which is the most accurate rep as this is key to me and more important than one having the date or basing auto. Butif both are equally good then the 240s extra features will likely push it over the line. Any info very much appreciated.
  12. I'd love to see the pics of your noob noobinstein. I'm a bit torn because I have always used Trusty and he doesn't do Noobs one - so do I go dealer I know or brand i think is better? Look forward to those pics.
  13. Thanks for your input here and ginaton your noob does look pretty special! It's so difficult to know which is best as this and the H fac ones both look pretty good to my eyes! But noob to tend to be better in general so perhaps this is the way to go for me! Cheers
  14. I'm untested to know how good the 177 is and if there's two version from noob and H-fax or just the one. Any info appreciated. Thanks
  15. It's a nice thing isn't it! Interesting about the 7750 being the one to get - I've never seen or head of the seagull movement before so I wonder why they have put it in to this? I tend to go for bracelets as the straps are so poor and paying out mad money for a gen strap upsets me! But I definitely think this may be the way to go actually. Thanks for the help - it is much appreciated. Also didn't know about the 10 - 2 date change thing so I need to start doing that!!
  16. Hello All I find myself constantly drawn back to the PAM 329 and have two questions that I hope you'll indulge and answer! Firstly how accurate is this model - i know the movement isn't correct and it has a display back (more on which in question 2) but otherwsie how does it stack up? I would always use Trusty and as such here is a link to the page that his two models are on. http://www.ttw168.co...pam 329&x=0&y=0 Secondly there is an Asian 7750 and an Asian Seagul option and I wonder which is best as Ive not come across the Seagul before so any info on it would be good. I'd likely go for it as it's more money and I usually assume this is the way for a reason. Thanks in advacne for any answers on this.
  17. Cheers Powermax - I'll definitely take a look into that one.
  18. Hello all I'm very interested in the 212 reps as they seem to be exceptionally accurate. But what I wanted to ask is whether they actually are as accurate as my untrained eye would have it? Finally believe that H Factory and Noob do them so is one better than the other. Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
  19. You would have to be a nutter to buy a football branded £15k+ watch surely. I googled it and that is not a looker!! Utd usually start off trends though with sponsorship that my team - Chelsea - copy slavishly so we are bound to get a slightly worse deal sooner rather than later. Probably Graham!!!
  20. Battler I agree that Panerais can be more legible but not sure about them being more gaudy. Hublot make some shockers. Although I was only making a tongue in cheek remark to be honest. Nothing wrong with a nice black big bang though in my opinion. But I'd say that in my opinion despite their size the Panerai range is pretty reserved on the styling front. Each to their own though.
  21. I know that Andrew Villas Boas had a lovely PVD coated special edition Franck Muller. Also Jose Mourinho has a Franck Muller deal too. Alex Ferguson also has a hublot so perhaps only managers over 65 choose them because the face is large enough to read with cataracts??
  22. Seriously anyone who has watched the England games and preparations at this Euros will know that this is the single best bit of product giveaway ever in the history of the world. Hodgson must be trained by Hublot to flash it whenever there is a camera within 20 miles! It's had more screen time that Rooney! Hublot must be laughing as I bet when they first found out someone had given one to Hodgson that the guy responsible got sacked!!!
  23. On the plus side a radioactive Rep would solve all of the crappy lume issues surely! Maybe this is why the new reps all have super lume!! LOL
  24. Sneed - that makes sense to me. I fully see your point on that. I hope that where will be a way of improving reliablity somehow in the future - but if that doesn't mean a new movement then so be it.
