What's on your "radar", and what you want replicated in 2009?
lazarini replied to By-Tor's topic in General Discussion
Oka ... nice choices guys ... the vintage FF is here so lets see also the modern if u please .... Second a decent dress watch JLC reverso would be good one to do and a seller for sure grande taille as mentioned above is an easy rep to reproduce imho also size vise a better way to go as the classic might just be to small in many peoples minds including mine. I am urging for more classy/dress replications due to the fact im running on limited budget there fore cant really shell out that amount on a classic/dress gen. which i will wear 3 to 5 times a month! ou yea and the mark XVI i have a feeling we asking for that one for ages now Laz -
Sweet TMG... i was just wondering when u gonna post here as i clearly remember that dial in ure parts box ... quiet ... lurking to be put to use one day ... looks like the time has come Cheers Laz

Hi all, i managed to pick this pam from a fellow member PAM1A, great communication with T. as always i can highly recommend him! The watch arrived and i was looking around in my box for a strap to put on it but nothing quite fit the bill. I wanted something that would reflect this watch for what it is... something looking a bit older, something looong In the meantime i was selling a GSD titanium buckle on the parts section also asking for a trade with a strap + cash from my side... i was plesantly suprized when member farquar approached me offering to build me a strap from scratch. A few emails here and there and the work begun i chosen the hide, the thickness, the stitching color and stile and course the dimensions. I opted for something longer as mentioned so asked for 145/90 distressed tan hide and brown stitching... also i wanted the strap to be reasonably thick but not a monster so we agreed on a 3-3.5mm thickness. It arrived yesterday and i was more then happy leather is really nice and lotsa touch on it... hide is soft and flexible and has great vintage smell... i mounted it on the 201A here is how it looks I have also received a FGD 201A dial a few weeks back that ill be putting in later... For now i would like to thank PAM1A and farquar for a nice 201A and a great looking strap... ALL COMMENTS and suggestions on the further improvements are welcome as always... Hope u enjoyed the pics, kind regards LAZ

@ Marty ... ure going all out personally i would leave the hands as they are still everyone has his own goals I have received some questions on the He Valve mod ... first let me tell u my mod is of estetic nature it looks from the outside closer to the real deal but its not the He Valve mod that freddy performed on his 1665 that is actually a working one. Still from the visual perspective mine don't look to shabby for more info on how to achieve that i suggest u contact Tribal. From what i heard its an easy mod. I will post some close ups in the days to come when the 1665 is in my hands ... Laz
