Gentleman, my knowledge about the inner mechanics and workings of mechanical watches is limited, I'm turning to you for help for I know you know more than most watchmakers out there.
A few months ago I bought a GMTMaster2Ceramic in used condition but it seemed to be working fine, it wasn't. When the date change initiated at around 9pm the hour hand stopped moving and I had to set the time each morning because it was still showing something at around 9pm.
The guy I bought it from was like 50km and I was about to leave the country so I didn't have much time, so I just took it to a nice but old watchmaker in a small village in Hungary. Long story short: I was naïve and believed him saying that he has seen some ETAs in this life time but he totally [censored] it up.
Watch wasn't working at all anymore after he gave it back saying it wasn't repairable saying he tried and he's sorry...
Hands couldn't move freely they all jammed up together because the GMT hand was almost touching the dial so it hung up on the maxidial-dots the second hand was jamming into the minute hand because the tip of the secondhand was curved.
When I'm trying to set the date, moving the GMT Hand works but as I said it can't move because it's touching the dial, trying to move the DW doesn't work at all.
After that I had no time so it was just in my bag while I was traveling finally I'm back in germany and I have some time and I really would like to fix this, with help from this nice community.
I'm attaching some pictures of the movement
