Hello youngN. Can always be difficult when you are making a 1st purchase on a particular rep watch. Pure time sells the santos ultimates, prices on these models in particular have a crazy price range and can all get confusing. Gen movt, Swiss eta etc etc. check out this link below. I'd go for something like this. An ultimate with an Asian eta you never know if your get a Swiss movt anyway. And if u get lucky. They generally are old eta's that need a lot of work. This Asian eta is dressed with a Cartier engraved bridge etc. I've had a gen santos and one from angus (pureti me) and it is a good rep. Epically for 300 odd dollars. I can also say that he is a good dealer and comes though with his products. This watch + service + gen strap = a excellent santos. Hope this helps and gives reassurance. One last thing. Stop it cc33. It's your fault I'm going to spend thousands lol. I agree. A phong case or mq case can be shaped, aged etc to achieve what you want. But dials...Have to spend Atleast £1000 on a custom for what I want. My theory is why spend 3k and not be happy? Might aswel spend 5. I have a gen 1030 movement And a 50's box. Panerai, I agree. I got really lucky on a vintage gen Gmt purchase when I was younger and silly me let it go for silly money (I was 18.) so I always felt the need to replace it. A vintage sub is what is my grail. And for the cycles. I guess your correct. At the moment seems like there's no end of super franken IWC' For sale. We will see.... Ssteel is also a great eu watchmaker. Ok it was special circumstances but who else you know who can receive a parcel from uk (to Finland) build a whole watch and have it back to the uk within a week. +1 too that, just got the TC type 3 lv with gen insert back from SSTEEL today, amazing how gen like they really are. Do not hesitate, buy one! And if you need any assembling/ modding on these TC's in the EU SSTEEL is your man for sure!!!

To be honest I think the whole put together of this tc sub was a poor job by the "watchmaker" who assembled it. If anybody can recommend a uk/eu based GOOD watchmaker id rather pay for the watch to get stripped down/reassembled Thanks again, Luke

Right got the bezel on, but for the life of me it's not sitting flat slightly on one side, thus the bezel won't turn! :s
