  1. Hmm. I know I will. All the except able prices seems to always be in those countries you would not seem to trust. Guess I will just be patient and see what comes up Thanks again guys ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Basically finished my 6538 build, minus a insert. I have searched long and hard for a fat font insert, which are either silly priced £1000+ for the insert alone (mk2) or are in in-trustworthy locations such as Islamabad etc. Has anybody got one? No who has? Please respond or pm me! Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Be careful, To get exactly what you have seen/see on his site, be prepared to send it back a few times before he understands your not stupid and gives you what you ordered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I agree, Hmm seems like I will do a lot more think in before making any decisions. Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello all, recently I have been under taking a very demanding franken project. I have had many problems, especially that 98% of my parts had to be sourced worldwide from unknown individuals. Language barriers/customs problems and the "take it or leave it, where else you going to go?" attitude I received from one well known parts supplier in Vietnam. (No names ) have been a major issue. I have thought many times,"why is there not somebody more local, where I could have got all this from" Being a very young entrepreneur, & running my own business successfully for the last 3 years, I'm not scared to take a gamble. What I want too know from mainly you UK/EU guys, is, in your opinion there a space in the market for a one stop shop/good parts supplier in the EU for your finer parts eg, gen spec vintage parts, gen spec custom cases and dials. ( basically a European offering something sinailar to what MQ and phong have monopolised the market with) what would you like to see readily available to you in the EU? Obviously it's a long shot, but I have great personal relationships with a few individuals in the manufacturing industry EU-Far East & and two family members who actually manufacture using metal/plastics here in the UK. You got to start somewhere right? Why not here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Zippin23. Thank you for everything you have done for us all. a watch does not always need to be fancy like a Rolex/AP etc, I can only wonder what journey that fossil has been though on your wrist. I have a friend in the British army, and he has always donned a simple Casio Quartz, been though hell and back and still working fine and it never leaves his wrist. Thank you again sir! 8. I am just waiting for my phong bezel. It's been with customs for 4 days, phones bezel really is something else. I have some good pics from phong if you want to see his different variations PM me max. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Bit of a pain in the ass for the seller jpz, but got to respect the noob Gary for posting, explaining himself, lesson 1 learnt. most of them just cause trouble and disappear. after all we were all noobs once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Freddy, tbh I think it's just a lottery. Some get good products and good experiences some don't. Anyway, I'm just glad I got it sorted within a day with just a £20 bill. A lot less then posting back to Vietnam a few more times! Will be updating everyone when my builds complete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks nanuq. Soooo, finally I get a call from my man. He's had to grind a file down to a very sharp point, and for 4 hours under a loupe re do all the threads. He said that there's no way that MQ could have fitted any caseback on it. So it was all aload of [censored] and mq thought he could fob me of with a pos again. A serious word too all those thinking of using him, please if you do not have too don't! All you will get is a list of excuses as long as your arm, and a few rude emails trying to put the blaim on you! ****Just my 2cents**** Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The problem is, whilst MQ and PHONG are the only two supplying the higher end stuff, they think they have you by the nuts. Until I/we stop buying their products or somebody from the forum has access to higher end machinery and can produce this stuff they will continue financially exploiting and not giving a s**t. 13. What ever you do, do not use mq pain in the Ass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Well , today I visited a friend, the man who actually helped me a lot with watches/antiques. He had a quick look and he saw there was damage to the threads. I've left it with him, he will spend some hours tonight sorting the threads out. (Said he needs Atleast 3) Hopefully this is the problem. I can't see how they would be machined differently as they are identical and only weeks apart. But hey, in this game you never know. And as for mq. He denied everything stating it could not be. As he checked the case with a caeback before he posted it out. Yeah right ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've sent mq an email. I'll give him two options. Get him to agree in writing in an email, Let me take it to my watchmaker, let him do what he does best. And if he cannot get it to sit right send it back. 2.just send It back. Choice is his really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm really fed up now. I have everything I need for my build, bar my new bezel which is on route from phong. Now this will be another major set back. The Annoying thing is, everything else on this case is now perfect. Fml Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Any other tricks anybody can suggest. Any old watchmakers secrets? Lol...? 17. I really do not want to send it back to Vietnam. It will be the 3rd time. And finally he has got everything else that was wrong correct. Cheap reps, you can understand. But when it comes to a midcase/caseback that nears €1000, one would think something so basic would be checked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. First, Mq sent me case #1 along with caseback #1 I was unhappy with case #1 so he sent me case #2 but insisted caseback #1 would be fine to keep using. Case back #1 + case #1 = fine Case back #1 + case #2 = only turns half way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Just noticed, the caseback stops turning before it gets to that bit of damaged so it cannot be that, that's stopping it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hello all. I am after some help/advice as This is my second mq case and I really CBF to send it back to Vietnam AGAIN. The case back will not for correctly to the case. I can probably make one turn if that. I have inspected the threads and I can see only a slight bit of damage to a very small bit. Do you think this is the cause? What can be done to rectify this? It is defo the case not the case back, because the caseback fits fine to the first case he sent me. And one would think in the space of not even a not h they would have been machined the same. Any help welcomed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I got one. Confirmed swiss too. Lmao I had too. Find some time, and do some reading. You will be more than amazed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sorry to create a whole thread about this, but does anybody know a UK seller that sells these movement clamp screws for a Rolex cal1030? Last thing I need : S Any info welcomed. Thanks
  23. I have asked this seller a few questions and he's said the dial was gen but marked "singer" LMAO Cc33 already had one look at this for me, and confirmed it's crap in a heartbeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. If it's to do with watches/repairs then it looks like he has maybe p***ed somebody else off? Or maybe somebody here has taken their own legal approach. Whom you cannot blaim... However .. As much as everybody is frustrated, it's best that admin go though the legal route...it's best for are forum/community anyway... Hope this one day gets squared up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Omega ladymatic is a stunning watch. I got my partner a 2013 two tone rose gold, with diamond bezel last year and she was in love. And let me just add this "partner" of mine, Has only ever had a bad opinion on any watch I have brought home in the last 7 years...
