  1. Man... I can see this going very very wrong....... Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  2. 4 Akitas. Love them to bits!!! Best dogs ever!! Even have there own old sofa lol... Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  3. Ok ok guys thanks for all your input. I have decided, today. ( just now ) that I will by go ahead. I can keep working my business, keep saving, and continue buying and selling gens on the way. Maybe one day I can make that grow. Who knows. But I surpose being young , being my own boss and turning over a great profit is something good. Thanks for all the opinions. Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  4. Possibly, but experienced gen dealers can tell a fake from a genuine. Strange... Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  5. Hello all , I can understand that some may be worried about the history of the watch, but when you trade/buy/sell rolexs they do sometimes come without the papers/card. I have never had any issues selling any gens , ranging from datejusts to full gold gmts, YM to Daytona's but for some reason selling a DSSD is near impossible?? WHY? 6. Mendota: can't really do both. Wish I could. The gas business is extra demanding at times. And never know when I'm out. Archie, it is not for there new flagship. That building does look amazing though ! Defo worth a visit for anybody here visiting London. Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  7. Wow, some really varied comments, this is why I asked you guys! Thank-you for all the suggestions. I'm very grateful.. Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  8. Hello guys, I want some advice.. I know we are a rep watch forum, but let's face it, we all are here because WE LOVE WATCHES.. No if's, but's or maybes. Like many of you we spend hours per day just looking at anything watch related, mainly Rolex for me because that's what's fascinated me since I was like 12/13 years old. I'm only 23 years old , I'm a gas engineer, and without blowing my own trumpet, run a small business which earns me much more then I could ask for. I have job alerts sent to me everyday, and last week had one for watches of Switzerland, literally 1 mile from me for a job in there Rolex AD. The pay-cut would be substantial, I would be back to the world of 9am- 5pm working hours. But for me in this environment I wouldn't class it just as work as i would be enjoying it every moment I am there. I will list some pro's and cons, please chime in. Some will think I'm a idiot but honest advice would be really appreciated from my fellow watch people! Leaving my gas business/ working in WOS (Cons) - Big paycut. - flexible working hours ( I don't have any kids though) Leaving my gas business/working in WOS (Pros) -although flexible, sometimes 2-3am emergency call outs are just dreadful - working with what excites me. ( Rolex!) - only 23 years old ( time still to progress) - 2 miles from work (currently 23 miles to contract area) - although less, a stable/ guaranteed income - no more wet/smelly work clothes and dirty hands !! LOL Most importantly, most do not know, but I have brought and sold 2nd hand gen Rolex also for many years. And consider myself a good solid salesman...... So guys honestly, what would you do ??? 9. Put on the news today, and looks like Russia have entered Ukrainian airspace several times in the last 24 hours. Seems like they were also to blame for the kidnap/dentention of 8 OSCE officials.... My heart goes out to the Ukrainians at this time.... Life's a [censored], then you marry one! 10. Soon come!! Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  11. You know what, with all the shutting down of well know rep dealers sites, and a lot of newbies asking so many questions ( i know Ive only been here a few years myself ) I sometimes wonder how many people working for organisations/branded companies are really lurking around here, rwi etc.... I mean , if you wasn't a active forum member, you wouldn't know about a lot of the TD's we have. Let's face it, if you type in "rep Rolex" on google you will hardly find PT/trusty, just aload of scamming b****ards!!! Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  12. Ssteel is not US he is based in the EU, Finland. And I'm bloody happy that he is!! Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  13. You can ask puretime, Angus is good, but can take alot of time doing things. ( you said your impatient!) Where are you based, if your UK/EU then give me a PM and I can help you with some more local watchmakers Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  14. It is. And believe me I thought I had planned enough, but still went over budget. Everybody to there own, it was a grail watch, I'm doing it hard. I'll enjoy it, when or if I need funds I will be able too generally sell it and NEARlY make my money back Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  15. Can't imagine what it must be like in that situation. I hope with it being 2014, and politics generally resolving things we won't have a major war. For those of you that are believers, it was said ww3 would exist... Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  16. I don't really like getting involved in politics, as I do Not class myself as too knowledgeable in this field, but it does seem at the moment the Russians are pushing the limits a little. Although technically being in international airspace has no wrong-doing?? Life's a [censored], then you marry one!
  17. Interesting, can you post pics of the mods you have done to the case to except gen xtal?? If you can it seems like it would be a great contribution as the others have there doubts.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Some people like a budget build first, I personally skip this stage, but Instead do months of research so you know what your after. & of course help from fellow members is PRICELESS. Go hard or go yard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. He's away for a bit, so will have to wait for his return. I'll let cc33 do the breakdowns for now, not only because my build is not fully complete, but because cc33 inspired me & schooled me with my build. Not forgetting the great SSteel who has put some amazing craftsmanship into making my 6538 amazing. All will be revealed in the very near future.!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hello Adam, nice to see you back. The hands I have are from Ivan, I'm happy with the mins and hour hand, but the white lollipop is aged to much. Problem is, I'm not sure if I want a white lollipop, or to go full gilt set???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
