it was a simple fix i stripped down most of the movement bit of a clean and re oil and we its been running great had it checked and im very please with the watch and the service from josh

does Davidsen supply cases to anyone going by his blog i couldn't find a for sale area or online shop i would be interested in a few cases

cousinsuk also do a china version of the 6497 its about 28 pounds

a lot of the major watch manufactures make there watches in china /far east using swiss or own branded parts but constructed in factories in china i have been to a few of them over the years skagen gucci is made by accurist in their factory tag omega danish design ab art obaku ted baker sekonda make longines theres loads even a lot of the new rados are made over there which lead to a influx of brands doing ceramic watches (badly)

i see josh has some pam case set ups for build for sale is there anywhere else that anyone can recommend for parts inc rep pam dials etc ive had an idea for a wee frank project that i might do as a newbie build blog on here

i had mine in 2-3 days have a wee read at my review it walks you through the whole process from a noob point of view

nice very very nice as a newbie im impressed

all i can say is if you spend a bit of time and do some research which is easy on here then you would know to order from and who not to im sure everything will be fine we as noob buyers just need a little patience sometimes

josh replied this morning with his solution going to give it a try then get it checked over by a friend when he can

i spoke to a friend of mine this morning who is a proper watchmaker hes going to come have a look at it but could be a few weeks :-(

the watch is running very very fast gaining at least 4-5sec a min have emailed josh and im sure he will offer a solution im not starting to really wonder about it need to take the back off tomorrow and have another proper look with that movement there is nothing i should have done before the first time setting it or have i over looked something this is not a movement im familiar with mike is there a tattoo section i have loads lol

i have not tried to thump it lol wont that damage it further

i thought that i just thought it might be going too fast for that to work will have a better look tomorrow when im back in the workshop

yea i was i just replaced it anyway have a slight issue with the movement now just waiting to hear back from josh will keep the review updated
