Looks like his paypal isn't functioning. Does anyone have his email?

Reported.
Waaaaaay too many tells for it to still be on ebay: yikes.

Just snagged a Phong midcase/caseback, yuki hev, and clarks bezel assembly/crystal from fellow member Think7.
All I can say is: WOW.
Flawless transaction and the fastest shipping I've ever experienced (coast to coast in 2 days!).
I'd like to drop a 1570 in here, but for the moment I will settle with an eta. Does anyone besides yuki sell the eta movement adaptor? I also have an old-school MBW bezel/thin numbers insert - would this be more accurate than the clarks assembly?
-
1680: props! That post should be a sticky in every section
-
Anyone see this? Looks like they revamped the case: looks more like the yuki case methinks!

Hey everyone! The inks/cliches/misc parts arrived last week. After a few slightly successful trials, I'm still attempting to ascertain the correct ratio of ink/thinner/matte powder to use in the printing process. There seems to be a problem with pad pressure, which I hope to have sorted asap. If my manual padprinter setup doesn't yield satisfactory (i.e. crisp) printed results, I will most likely purchase an automated pad printing press. HOPEFULLY it won't come to that, as I've already sunk way too much money into this venture.
More updates ahead!

Sorry, I only know who makes the best submariner.
BEST. RESPONSE. EVER.
-
Thinking of doing a group buy/pdf share (like we did with the submariner book) if anyone is interested...

I believe its the same watch, was circa $850 I think I got it for. I prefered the no rad dial but defo needs modding from standard
I'll be purchasing the no-radiation yuki version soon i think; I'm VERY interested in a custom bezel insert that fits. Keep us updated on your progress!
-
How much did the phong ff run you? Isn't it the same as yuki's offering minus the no-radiations symbol?

The only times I've said the words "This one's a keeper" were...
- When I proposed to Ms. Nanuq
- When my kids were born
Everything else is just "things." The people are the lifetime connections.
Solid advice.

The sloppy white paint on the first bezel 'tick' can be easily scratched off. Looks good: I'd go for it.
-
I would purchase 1 more washer, glue both together, and sand them down accordingly; this worked for me.
-
Whats the deal with these, if there decently priced i wouldnt mind picking up a couple and doing a few different 1680s

Are these available?

I'm personally waiting til Athaya finishes his (rumored) 6538 cases: anyone have any updates on this?
-
Aside from the aged feel of the Minh case, which one did you feel was more true to a 6538?
-
-
WOW. Just WOW
This IS my dream build: fantastic.
What's the dial diameter size cc? 26.5mm or 27mm?
-
While you can't completely change the color of the text, you can use an acrylic wash (aka watered-down paint) and create a yellow tint slowly, being careful to let each layer dry.

hi whoopy, any updates?
I was hoping my next update would include pictures of the finished dials, but alas! I am currently waiting for the custom ink/dials to arrive. Once they're here I will begin the pad-printing process, post pictures, and set up a thread in the sales section. I'm pretty stoked that this project is near completion! Finally I can contribute something to the RWG community

From my opinion, the logistics of manufacturing this number of dials to hold stock of would be daunting. I'm sure it would be a large investment of time and resource.
I think if he did a print run sign up for each style and printed them more one at a time it would happen.
Or if we did a vote on the styles that are most wanted and encouraged him to start there?
There are a lot of variations, I see this as a daunting task. But my daytona project has slowed waiting to see where this goes.

Damn this thing is beautiful

If you didn't sandblast, how'd you achieve that finish?
Anyone order from ingod44 lately?
