    Replica pens

    Just to show everyone....
  2. Excellent ! For me, the strap looks good. I'm waiting my brown one (Josh could source one for me !).

    Replica pens

Hi Corgi, you can't find such beauty as a rep... Too complicated. If someone finds it, I'll buy it right now !! The reps which are pretty OK (according to pics I saw) are the Copernicus and Starwalker (except the too round star). I read many good reviews on Starwalker series. For the Boheme, I can't be objective, I own a gen, and I find the reps not correct (although nice). Generally you will be called with fountain pens as none is correct. If you wish to stick to reality, the best compromise is a ballpoint or a roller. @Kenberg : your pens look great ! The boxes also look different from what I could see already. How much for the Starwalker on the top ? Thx, and sorry to mods if trade should maybe continue somewhere else. PS : Corgi, there are more noble symbols of France than hens...

    Replica pens

Hi piratedzeus, no offense in what I said... But For pens I would say I may think I have some good references : I own 2 gens (a boheme and a mozart), and of course I am extremely attentive to any detail. And the finishing on the Solti I got is average...still the pen's nice and will surely please the friend I will offer it to. Concerning packaging, it's definitely crap (sorry), but who cares ? 2 pics to show what I mean with details : look at the serigraphy on the box and the silver insert on the pen. There are plenty of details like this. The Copernicus is much better, I only have to complain a bit on the MB insigna.

    Replica pens

Hi, I got 2 MB pens from Josh. I am less enthusiastic about MB pen reps than for watches. The packaging (and as far as I see everywhere) is terribly cheap : finishing, serigraphy, assembling, booklet pictures... The pens are quite OK : I have a Copernicus fountain which really does the job and looks nice and heavy, except that the MB insigna looks too greyish and is not smooth enough (pity, as that's the most important), and a Solti ballpoint which looks cheap and badly finished from any angle :-) But OK, for 35 dollars shipped. Just to say that I am collecting rep watches but surely won't do the same for pens. What I saw is not convincing me at all. I would be interested in knowing other's opinions.
  6. You guys don't help me ! I'm hesitating more than ever now ! @Stephane : where did you order it ? And what's the price ? I must say I'm not a SS bracelet fan, but I like this model pretty much too. However it's gen pic you showed, how' s the rep ? @Pug : I always thought I should keep my finger off the faux tourbi models, as I find they often look cheap. But yours very nice, again ! Is there any movement in this tourbillon ? At least something that make people think it's not here only for deco ? @Robertk : your third one is one of the model I'm interested in, except it's gold. I have no gold in my collection yet. Where did you get it from ? Thanks all for the feedback you gave. Still making up my mind.
  7. Sounds good indeed... Any ide what is the 3... at three, on the original ? (that's the missing thing on the rep)
  8. ...but you can set the year manually by the pusher or something ?
  9. Hi all, after my latest Patek I will continue with dressy watches. Surely back to the 100 dollars reps for this next purchase. I have found 2 Vacheron Constantin, which both globally look quite accurate. Problem, I love them both already, but need to choose only one of them. I would be glad to hear some comments about what's wrong/right with them, as the accuracy may be the last point which will help me to decide. Feelings have already spoken and this time they're not enough to decide. Here they are : The "31 days retrograding calendar" (found in "Classical watches") http://watchwindersworld.com/vc10028-compl...ver-p-1552.html and The "Retrograde Perpetual calendar" (found in "Grand Complications Watches") http://watchwindersworld.com/vc10011-malte...dial-p-677.html Do you think that all features on this could be working, with a simple 21J ? BTW, both have a 21J, but none of them look like the one I'm used to see. Any remark ? For sure, I'll get a croc or gator strap, so the supplied strap won't be the point to decide which one, as both have a very standard gator pattern strap. Not bad, not good. Thx a lot in advance for your feedback.
  10. Yeah ! You mean Tissot is sponsored by Vatican ? Nice complication in any case.
  11. I just bought one, so I'm fully satisfied with your answer !
  12. Hi Pug, any technical reason for this ? Thx
  13. Thx ! I trust you'll definitely be enchanted. Especially for the price, the level is very good.
  14. I should have bet ! I'm wondering about asking some copyright on this combo... ...just kidding... Which colour did you choose ?
  15. You can ask him to get the SLR with the SS bracelet. He got already several requests as far as I know. Just ask him. Strange, I see all tastes are in nature : I ordered a leather strap because I now slowly start being bored by the SS one Best way is to have both, and change according to your mood : both (integral) leather and steel dresses fits very well.
  16. Hi, my mistake. Don't forget, English is not my native language. I meant, buying a rep never killed anyone. It is not fatal (I should stop watching movies without subtitles ! ) So I do not feel guilty buying some. Whereas buying other counterfeit goods (like medicine or car parts) will kill people. In that case I am completely against such business. Both are illegal, but I consider them very differently. Does it make more sense ?
  17. Other thoughts about rep watches (I promise, I don't want to be a troll) Sure rep business is illegal. But not lethal. Counterfeit medicine is dangerous, as counterfeit car parts are dangerous. They actually harm both the enduser and the manufacturer (in this case they loose the sales for the gen parts). Also most of the time the enduser does not know what is buying. No counterfeit watch has ever killed anyone (except the ones that waited a watch more than 3 weeks ! ) So from this point of view, as long as our hobby does not kill anyone and obviously does not make manufacturers go bankrupt, I do not feel guilty of anything, even if that whole activity is wrong from the legal point of view, I would qualify it of "not right" from the moral point of view, that's slightly different. BTW, anyone here liked the leopard Rollie ?
  18. They still supply some software (I recently saw a player from them, compatible with "mp3 pro"). BTW, when I said awful Rolex, I was meaning the design (not the quality...) I should have said... ugly, to avoid misunderstanding
  19. Hi, sometimes technologies have become so common that we forget they're licenced (who said Rolex ??! ) I had in mind that the mp3 compression technology was licenced to the Fraunhofer Institue and Thomson. In fact (checked on Wikipedia), it's licenced to Philips, Thomson, TDF, France Telecom and IRT... (its therefore a dutch-French-German technology, YEAH ! ) Sorry I'm almost off-topic. Jon fort, no offense in my post, I thought it was worth proving that even when we think we may be honest, we are just outlaws Back to this thread : before buying reps, I never bought expensive gens. So I don't think companies like Patek, Bell & Ross, Montblanc, Tag Heuer (and soon Vacheron Constantin) lost money due to me. I continue buying gens at the same time, I mean affordable ones (between 100 and 250 euros). Before having interest in brands, I have interest in nice design and collecting watches, whatever they are. I would never buy an awful gen Rolex, just because it's a Rolex
  20. If you want an accurate one, it seems the Link is close to perfect. The rest is a question of personal taste. I'm waiting for a leather strap for the SLR and will let you see how it looks like with an other dress.
  21. Mmm... I would say I crossed the point of no return. Only the bank will stop me ! Well, better this than other addictions ! I have still a lot to learn, and that makes me thrill. It's been a while since I last had such positive interest in something ! (except sex ... )
