  1. Here the promise pics of gen i have, theire are blued, but more black as oxydized now with age. And the measures take from center of hole to end: Minute 18,54mm Hour 14,07mm For the dial i have who is less than 37mm, the minute hand is a little bit too long, the correct lenght will around 17mm , but the hour lenght is probably correct, very long. You can compare it put on my dial and on the pic , the lenght is the same. but the question is to know if my dial have the correct size, it is a DSN modded, with diameter reduce of less than 37mm; case is a modded silix one. And a pic to compare with gen angelus and with some others reps style. Hope this will help and not cause more confusion
  2. Yes i also think it is best to ship it flat and the buyer will decided to bend or not, just saying we need to take it consideration to do the correct measure. I haved not take the pic of mine (you know i am very busy this time )but will do it this weekend to show. Wat will be nice is if someone will know the inside diameter of a gen bezel to calcutale the correct lenght.
  3. Will try to do some measure this evening if i have enough time. My vote go for the type of the Kmapfschwimmer one, more long and thin. About lenght of minutes hand, we need to consider the fact that the gen was bend from around 40
  4. I agree with Helmut, it's a 6152/1 without CG. It's not the only one gen (or partialy gen) i have see with brushed case. I have pic of gen 6152/1 with brushed case and CG, with ang240. To be honest, i never understand how this watch was made polished, brushed is more logic for military watch and cost nothing more.
  5. Correct blues hands is what i wait for a long time. If you need it i can send you a pair of standart cort hands for hole size. For blued hands, if possible you can make it in steel, not stainless steel, i think it will be more easy, and we can use gun blue who exist in blue color (the color use from the first Colt SAA 1873 revolver, or others from periode 1858-1878, so a lot of gun maker made this color). About blue hands, on gen 3646, the end of minute one is bend, 3 mm from end. Without lume will be the better choice beacause a lot of buyer will mod it to theire choice.
  6. yes , real, and a nice seller, i have bought cortebert from him as he has some, sometime
  7. nice post avitt. i usualy use a custom tool like your but bigger and a hammer, work nice in seconds only
  8. What DSN sold as 6154 is in fact a 6152/1 without CG. 6152 are always without CG 6152/1 exist with or whitout CG 6152 and 6152/1 are thick case and lugs, and the 6152/1 is the more thick of the two 6154 are more slim, case are around 2mm less in height, bezel are more thin, lugs are more thin. 6154 and 6152 are a 2 angles side profil, but 6152/1 are round. A exact size, i am not totaly sure because not at home, but i have in mind around 5.2mm case thick for 6154, and around 7.2mm for 6152/1. Diameter of bezel are around 45.2mm for 6152 and 6154, and 45.8mm for 6152/1, because the two first with rolex T24 of 40.2mm and last one use a T25 of 40.8mm. If think it's all you need to know
  9. Nice combo you have here. The welded work does all the difference beetween a nice homage and just a "standart" rep, nice job Ross And it's nice to see the 6152/1 always work nice. What is the caseback you have put in ? And yes, we need correct gen blue hands, i have two project we will be achieved when i will find correct blue hands. i have some pairsof vintage corrects blues hands, and all hour hand are too long, i think Ross and Marco know the problem too.
  10. because this 190 movement is more big than the watch you think to put in it i don't think you can find a correct 240 in the bay for a good price, theire are too many hunters for it, and probably all the members who will answer you here
  11. Nice job. Have you bead blasted it and grey pvd or gun blue plated ?
  12. why only 20 posts about this one ???? I don't understand, because this watche is the "real" panerai, the one who have a history , more than a pre V or all others. A fiddy is nothing compare to this one, so enjoy it (R., i was happy to help you, you can always count on me for other project if you need; about how wind it, i wind all 2 days to keep the spring half wind for better accuracy)
  13. Nice to see this one finaly achieve. It look marvellous. What a nice case , nice movement, nice strap. But if you are wait 3 years for this one, what will be your next project now ?
  14. For enngraved brevettato case back i don't know if the dsn ones can fit a silix case. But for the dial, the only good one are the one from RMsherry, because the only one who are engraved , see the parts for sale section i have see a post about it last week; this dial are exceptionnal. But historicaly, a 3646 with MM dial is not realy good, 3646 are more a world war two watche, but the italian navy only become "marina militare" instead of royal marina after WW2, so a radiomir dial of a sterile kampfschwimmer will better.
  15. i always use the cheap one with lot of mods. I usualy buy it from silix, but case need a lot of work; it's the same you put the link with madoka. You don't need to buy high price case because all need a lot of work Here the result after i put lot of hours of work on it :
  16. Their always exist other option, depending on work you can do. I think the choice of the 7750 was for the spacing beetween second subdial, more close to angelus like that a unitas. So yes you can probably change the movement, but need to change the dial too.
  17. Yes it's bad if the size is not the good one. But i can be interested, even the same in a 47mm can interest me as it is hard to buy a watch that you now never wear because too big. A pic next to a fiddy can be good to know. The gen was of steel but aluminium plated. This one need to be beadbalsted and darkened; i would like to see pics of the ti plated one, it not see dark if it's the one left on last pic. For the dial, many thanks to R., mine is ready since a month for this baby, and angelus "non alarm" too
  18. Hello For a next project in some months, i search a gen rolex tropic, early production, more domed than late, NOS prefered; the correct one for a 6152/1 Can pay forit or trade for parts or some work if are OK to wait some time. I know that it's not the correct section for this topic but as it is for a special vintage part please don't moove it, as i am not sure men who can have them go on the search section. Thanks !!!
  19. Here pics of some of mines : 2 are with cdg, thin or big, one are serviced and run in my watch since september without stop. I have restore it, see the before/pics: This one is a late production one, with the better durable finish, antichoc and micro regulator, as you can see on some big egiziano. It was damage during shipping, the minute wheel was bend and even if the watch run, the hands don't moove, i have recently repair it by changing the wheel by an other one taken on a keywind one i recently buy, i new condition. I will mod it to a non alarm one by adding a cover plate in late months of this year. And a gen with alarm removed just to compare: Hope this help, The only problem with this ang ones is that since i have achieve it and don't wear my others watches:D To R., i am ok to take one of your non alarm one if you don't have utility of it
  20. No, i am sure that i have see it before but don't know from who it come; buckle seems to be close to gen. More infos please I am also very interested to hear more about the high inner bezel, can you have more pics of it before put in watch ? is it made from steel or alumunium ? The diameter of plexi is 40.7mm right ? A nice work, i like it.
  21. Nice work. I like the thick full caseback, maybe more than the transparent ones. Please more infos about the strap and buckle, it's one of the best i have see
  22. if you need cortebert standart hands from pocket watch only for holes sizing, i can send you a pair i have; i have NOS on cardboard. but gen hands like this, i never see.
