  2. hey! I don't have any in stock at the moment, but I can make you one no problem. Please feel free to contact me at pbdadcustoms@yahoo.com if you are interested! best, pb
  3. Fantastic, Donerix! Now the search begins to find a riveted bracelet for myself!
  4. thanks, man! I've done the whole lumed bezel thing on a dssd before. It looked great, but it just wouldn't hold up...
  5. This one is a special watch commissioned by my friend, Concepta. It started life as a Swiss Explorer II he bought here on RG and sent it my way for some custom work. I stripped it down, brushed the sides of the case and bracelet and had Avitt DLC the the entire watch. While the case and bracelet were out getting its black out treatment, I stripped the red paint from the GMT hand and finished it in GMTII green, and sent the crystal to be single AR'd. When everything came back, I assembled it, lubed gaskets and painted the bezel markers in alternating green and white. I LOVE the way ti came out. Very different and very cool... The contrast of the white dial and black case is exquisite. enjoy.
  6. Got mine installed. Not only is now the correct height, the overall quality is leap and bounds above the standard rep crystal. thanks, buddy for offering this to us!
  7. I love vintage watches. But this time I also wanted something a bit more modern. So I created The Black Swan to fulfill my passion for both --a retro DSSD if you will. PM me for more info -Crown guards shaved off -Head sandblasted and DLC'd by Avitt -Dial Text darkened to give it a gilt appearance like some of the older Rolexes -Satin Gold hands with meatball seconds -Ratchet mech removed from bezel -Dial and bezel markers redone in a rich creamy color -Superdome Diver's plexi crystal -Finished with my signature Chocolate Zulu strap enjoy!
  8. Since Donerix did an amazing job on the display boxes from The Baron Project, I decided to employ him to work on The Abyss as well. I had this idea of a smaller box, like some of the single watch boxes that he offers (kinda like the old Pre-V PAM boxes), but with a porthole or sort that allowed you to see the watchhead from the outside with the lid closed. We ran through one sample and is was good. But Donerix really killed it with the second round sample. He took my concept, ran with it, and created something incredible! It has this telescopic, maritime, vintage feeling... like it could have been found on a sunken WWII ship. We're going to make some slight changes to it, but I think it will stand mostly as is. Even when The Abyss isn't residing in it, it's going to be a terrific piece sitting on your desk. enjoy.

Thank you, gentlemen! Yes, all 10 are sold, but I do custom work for members. PM for details. Here's a pic of a recently completed DSSD that I sandblasted the case, did a yellow pearl and seconds hand and DLC'd the bezel and bracelet. A started a new thread for the Abyss for those interested.

    The Baron

Hey guys, I was intrigued by custom Rolex houses, like Project X and Pro-hunter, so I set forth a couple of months ago to do my own interpretation of a custom DSSD, code named --The Baron. It was well received by many, so I decided to do a limited series run of 10 pieces. The Baron features: -Swiss ETA movement -CG removed and sides brushed -Crown and bezel sandblasted and DLC'd by Avitt -Custom enameled seconds hand in Victory Blue -Matching Victory Blue pearl -Matte Dial -Relumed in GX9 -Double AR'd crystal -Custom dyed chocolate Zulu strap -Engraved serialized caseback -Custom Donerix Brazilian hardwood serialized box Overall, it was quite a fun project! May not be for some, but it was a great exercise in creativity and design for me. I thought I'd share some pics of 001/010 that the owner (Buddydog) shot they day he received his (sorry for lifted your pics, but yours are way better than mine). The last 2 pics are from a new project I'm launching shortly. A Vintage DSSD called the ABYSS.
  14. "sucks", meaning the 3135 mvmnt in question. We also said that it was currently the only movement available in this particular watch. But, a Swiss and a 21j will be offered shortly. This is consistent with what Henry from tswiss also said. I didn't ask for the price since I already knew didn't want the 3135. But I have every confidence that ordering from sead will be cheaper and more reliable!
