  1. No, too thick and because diameter is 39mm and you need less, around 36mm the size of the 616 or a standart unitas.
  2. Thanks VDB for link. we can also notice on the front pic that the second hand is white without the smal back, like on some big egiziano. Babola, please can you where you have see others with alarm plate ? pics will be very nice
  3. yes, i will be also very interested to see pics of gen with alarm movement. where do you find this pic? the case and strap look gen, i am sure , but maybe the movement is a replacement one ? by Panerai or not ? 40 years back or maybe just a fews ? I will be very please to have more infos and pics about it .
  4. Nice job S. I am happy to see that you have find the flat hands you search. mine second with running secs will be achieved in the following weeks.
  5. i agree with VDB, i prefer a selfmade angelus one; with a non alarm plate is a plus. the gen 203 is only an actual watch for me, even if inspired by vintages; what i will realy like will be a gen vintage angelus; And honestly, i prefer a vintage who look old and use, so not the actual 203. but if someone have a gen 203 to exchange with my angelus one, feel free to e-mail me
  6. I am actualy work on my next one project; a 6152 Angelus powered with smal second , but i don't know if i wil do a 2 or 4 lines dial; i need to do all the mods, resize case, plexi, paint all dial ,resin filled indices, make correct strap... i will start this weekend At this time i have only finished one dial, the marking are engraving but not sure will be the one i will use; i will do a post when this one will be finished; Here a pic of dial, case on back was mod for a friend :
  7. A real gen for watch ( not the one for compas ) , the correct size will be around a 155/90 mm. 26/26, one floating keeper, one not, 6 holes of only 2mm indiameter, and space beetween around 12mm. The correct leather will be a natural one who will became yellow with little aged and dark brown with lot of use and time. A correct one is a 3 piece construction for the long side, a two pieces for the short side( of course except the keeper). It will be more thick from lugs and for around 50mm, more thin after. And don't use nylon for the seewn, but a "fil de lin" like on gen ( sorry but i don't remember the name in english ). I have one who was on work, i will achieved it next week i hope. Hope this help !!!
  8. Thanks for all the comments, i will post a new thread this weekend about he rolex watches and Bond props i have made
  9. Hello, Even if i am more passionate buy vintage Panerai, i am a James Bond fan ; So here the Props that i made the last years, The Seamaster is a gen i buy new from an AD two days after seeying "Die an Other Day" , a dream that i haved for a long time ! The Big detonator is from The end scene in the tactical ship of "Tomorow never dies" The small one and the one in the TNT pound is from "Die an other Day" first scene in North Corea: The pen is not made by me but it's the good one Parker grenade pen from "Goldeneye" I have also made watches and gadgets from Sean Connery Bond films, i will do a post in the next days, Let me know your comment !!! And of course the red lume is real and work :
  10. You have a PM, hope this help. I realy like this one, nice finish and effect of paint on it !
  11. I have it with wide deco but on the movement i will use for my next project, like you know. I prefer this wide deco instead of the small one. But if you want, i am OK for a trade for a non alarm stem wound one
  12. definetely gen. but the yellow "hand" writing ? a bad custom?
  13. It's right ( and more easy to do ) but i am so in love with the one i do that i never remove it for sleep and like to see it in the night RMS, i will contact you by PM.
  14. Hello, For my vintage actual project i need to find luminova matter, or something like it who glow a lot. I try on the web but don't find it. If i remember it is 3 little bootles i think. Please help if you have an idea, I will do the job myself, White color is nice to mod it, Thanks a lot !!!
  15. This case is totaly wrong, lugs are too long, case a little bit too thin, wrong tube and crown, crown tube and lugs not soldered, wrong crystal, wrong hands; 3 years for this ? what a joke ! For 600 usd it can be correct but not for this too high price
  16. And for Savage i contact him 6 months back about it and refuse to sell one separatly, but he contact me needed help for an angelus project one week back after seing my post, i answer him a very long post to help him and after, no answer, no thanks, nothing but maybe have a matter with tornado like you said, so i can understand, and i hope that all are ok for him.
  17. Not enough "historic" But what SHT means ?
  18. Hello, For the strap i would like to make for my vintage project i search correct GPF flat buckle in 26mm, engraved or not, but don't find one; if one of you know where, or have one to sell , please let me know, your help will be very appreciate, and i will send pic when achieved ; Thanks !!!
  19. some dials like DSN one, sometime have a hole in the inside face so don't need to be cut. On my movement Cortebert and unitas, i don't cut it but sand it; i do a "dust proof" protect for the movement using paper scotch and plastic bag, ONLY the small feet are off the scotch; i take my diamant dentist drill and drill it; next to a magnet to retain the steel dust. Hope this help
  20. And some close up like you requested : - dial, showing the vintage resin filled index and little brown aged dial, with differents colors on each index; hands are dark blued, only reflect when direct light ( not like the standart one on cali who is too blue) - side pic showing the engraving crown, the slimmed case, the welded lugs, the sewn in strap - two more pics and i realy like this pic
  21. Here the requested pics, Some close up added : - Dial : to show the resin filled index, the mods hands more pointed and oxidized with the vintage lume matter, and how i have vintagized the dial - a side pic to show the springbars and the reshaped case - a pic of back with the cortebert - a pic showing my other cortebert in new condition, for a next project Hope you like
  22. i thinking of this, because all the request i have receive in the lasts weeks, but : I do this one for me, not for sale, it's ofr this reason that i take all the time i need and do all this very specials mods. I will do an other one in the next month ; probably for me; because i have an other 240 and i want a little egiziano. Make one for sale ? some members ask me for this; so maybe yes, but what can be the price for it ? because with all the mods i do, it's a very long work and price will be big . Doing commissioned work ? i think yes if the buyer provide me the parts i need, but their will be always the matter of price, maybe more for exchange with vintage parts or watches (only gen) ?
  23. Just do some morre close up pics with my dad camera : On gen vintage, sometime the plastic/resin protect of the luminor or radium material have little cracks on it due to it age, so here a close up of the dial to show the "cracks" on the plastic on the 6 marker , this was hard to do; i have do the same on the 3 marker, and on the 1 hour marker; not all markers need to be cracked : A side pic showing the big crown guard, the heigh of the plexi, and the thick springbars : and two pics of the Angelus 240 to show his condition today who is very very nice : I will post some close up of my others vintages projects in the next days; Enjoy!!!
  24. i try yesterday night to do more close pics with an other camera, more old and more big; it was the night but i think corrects close up are possible with this one so i will do some pics more for each watches i recently posted. The bridge on this one are the same than on all 616 i think; the gear was changed for the rolex one i buy; i don't think it is possible to make the effect yourself. I have four type of gear : rolex sunburst, brushed with a round line, two with different type of cortebert engraving. i have two 616 movement who work perfectly, this one in a used condition, an other one in a absolutely new condition, and two others for pieces, with around 20 pairs of hands for cortebert ; a cool vintage tool box will post pics of watches and parts in the next days
