  1. Many thanks for your comments guys, that is very helpful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hello everyone, I have just rejoined the forum, and wondering if you would be so kind as to give me an indication as to it's value of my BK Sub if I were to resell it to a friend (note that this is not a sale topic, I just wanted some idea as to if it still has any value) I have pre-messaged @Legend if this was OK to do, and he asked me to tag him in the topic. Thanks About 6 years ago I purchased this lovely sub from BK. Since then it has been knocked around a bit, ever so slight dent in the bracelet from a drop, bottom marker has slight mark on it that was caused when hands fell off from the drop (barely noticeable by eye). It was repaired and serviced. Watch keeps terrible time 😆 Specifications: Genuine new Rolex crown Genuine bezel insert Genuine crystal TW sub TC Bracelet, hollow links (Not sure if I should or shouldn't post the original purchase price, so I have excluded that for the moment) (photos show username as watch010 as it was the new username I made yesterday until the moderators were so kind enough to merge my old account ) I will try to upload some better photos soon when I can do so in the day time with natural light, hopefully the ones below are OK for the moment. Any ideas as to what it is currently worth? IMG_0586.HEIC IMG_0587.HEIC IMG_0588.HEIC IMG_0588.HEIC IMG_0590.HEIC IMG_0592.HEIC IMG_0593.HEIC IMG_0594.HEIC IMG_0595.HEIC IMG_8021.HEIC IMG_0589.HEIC
  3. Where would I get one of those from and what would be the cost?
  4. Yea, I didn't realise it was noticeably different from that angle as well. I need some sort of a case upgrade.
  5. You can't actually see any difference in the crown guards in the photos that I took due to the angle of the photos.
  6. It was more than a couple of hundred. Has lasted years and years, a few bad drops but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed. What's a Sean case? The only actual give away on this watch (if you no where to look) is the hand filed grown guards. Not that noticeable but still. A case upgrade might be nice.
  7. The bezel insert and crystal are gen, along with the crown. The rest is a rep. It's a BK TW sub
  8. So are you guys guessing rep because of the cyclops and bezel insert?
  9. Date isn't left justified. Just looks that way in these terrible photos as they are taken using an iPhone 5
  10. Any guesses? The answer will be revealed shortly.....
  11. Yea best to get both, worth the very very small additional cost for 2
  12. This was an amazing short film, thanks for the video
  13. Amazing photos. What Breitling is that?
  14. If taking two watches: Datejust and panerai for work, luminor gmt brown strap, is a good casual look. if just 1 the sub or gmtii as they are both very versatile.
  15. I used to wear levis, but I always had to turn up the ankle cuffs as they were too long, and I am not even that short! but now I have a couple of these, different colour, these are my fav pair at the moment, Cheap Monday Jeans (a Swedish company) fitted jeans, goes well with brown shoes and a white shirt with black buttons, and of course a nice watch!
  16. off white suit. light blue shirt.
  17. Just looks like a black suit to me. Are you looking to buy the same suit then? I don't understand why people buy expensive designer off the rack suits. When for not that much money you can get a tailor made suit from Asian, and even get them to make it from the same material at a fraction of the cost. 2 button dark suit, notch lapels with hand stitching around the edge. no button hole. center back pleat. working button holes on the cuff. tailored slim fit. add a nice watch to that and you will be looking good
  18. I heard rumor that a new SD will be out soon? I hope so. I have an old one, and desperately waiting for a really accurate one. I like how the SD doesn't have an ugly cyclops like the sub.
  19. It's a different watch. This review is of a sea-dweller, not a deep sea sea-dweller. Great review btw. For me I don't like the inaccuracies of the crown guards, isn't a good enough rep, shame a genuine SD is so expensive.
  20. I disagree, I think the 16610 is a great watch that can be worn pretty much all the time, can be worn casually during the day, but also looks great with a suit or with a white shirt as the black face contrasts. So yea, I would recommend a 16610 submariner, I have one with on order from BK. (with gen insert, crown and crystal as well) MapsMoney, Are you getting a gen bracelet / clasp? How much did that cost?
  21. The old subs have green lume, and the new ceramic subs have blue. The ceramic sub has thicker hands and hour markers. The lugs are larger on the ceramic sub, so it appears slightly larger. Also both subs have different bracelets. I like the ceramic insert on the sub c, but I prefer the other details of the classic sub I think they make it look more refined.
  22. Not sure, but from reading all the posts on rwg, he seems to be the best guy to buy from as he mods all the watches. I will put up pics when it arrives. From reading around, I don't think you can purchase a better sub from anywhere else. I decided to buy the more expensive TW 16610 opposed to the newer 116610 ceramic sub as personally I thought it seemed like a better rep.
